I really believing that friendship can't begin until someone chooses you. But... that doesn't mean you don't get to make a choice too. You can't do that...unless you know who they are. And they can't choose you...until they know who you are.
This is some of the people I just meet lately and calling them my friends. Because I believe that the qualities that I believe that my friends shall be, are being seen in them.
Here's how I know a relationship is working...
When I'm with them, I am happy confidently, I always looking forward to seeing that person, I'm not afraid that, that will hurt me intentionally. I'm no hesitant to speak up when I feel hurt. Knowing that, they challenge me to grow, emotionally, mentally, and professionally we are in. Being around with them gives me comfort when I am feeling sad. I wanted them to be with me or celebrate with me in great things.
I've feel that I had been more idealistic in my relationships than I've ever been. I want the most difficult things you can ask a person and that is for them to be themselves whenever, wherever we are together or not, in hood or in bad times.I want authenticity where many find it hard to be authentic with themselves. It’s from our authentic selves where true connections are made.
It’s from those true connections where I finally feel understood the true meaning of friendship.
