It’s been two wonderful years since I gave birth to my little princess. I know deep down in my heart that my second baby’s gender would be a girl — It’s a mother’s instinct. It was really a hard time during my pregnancy though it’s my second because of seven-years gap from my eldest child. It feels like the first time again! And because I am working from a distant workplace that time, I was experiencing unbearable pelvic pain on my 7th to 8th month so I have to file my early maternity leave.
On 23rd of May 2016, after seven hours of laboring, I gave birth to a very healthy bouncing baby girl. Her weight was 4300 grams = 9 pounds and 7.678049oz to be exact. And take note: it was a Normal Spontaneous Delivery NSD. She broke the record to be the biggest and heaviest baby that was born on that Lying-in Clinic from the day it was founded as stated by the owner as of her birthdate.
Competente’s Private Lying-in Clinic has an excellent reputation on our place in Caloocan. It was referred to me by my younger sister and my sister-in-law. No doubt! They have a very good record and they already gave birth to 3000+ babies as of May 2016. I only paid 300php for my child’s Birth Certificate because the bill for my delivery was covered by PhilHealth — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation was created in 1995 to implement universal health coverage in the Philippines according to Wikipedia.
Now, let’s go back to the highlight...
Her name Katrisse May, was derived from my nickname Kat and May because I gave birth to her on the month of May — the month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere according to Google. (wala lang 😂)
It’s hard for me to choose the name for my baby girl because other family members were suggesting the names they like. And it’s still up to me what name will I give to my chid. And because WE are both born on the 23rd I decided to give her the name Katrisse. It was originally Qwyn Katrisse but my husband want to make it simpler so we went back to the lying-in to ammend her name. Good thing it was not yet registered to the City Hall.
And today, 23rd of May 2018, we are celebrating her second year of life. God is really good for giving me these wonderful children (with her kuya/brother). I can not ask for more and I hope that we can provide them all the best and raise them as good Christians and citizens of our beloved country.
What a cute baby! 😍
