#Ulog ~ 7 ~ Edgar Had Her Kittens!

4 of Them to Be Exact...

_{And before you ask, yes, we have a female cat named Edgar. She came with that name, we got her from a friend up the road when we were having a mouse problem in our house. Apparently our friend didn't know that Edgar was a female, until she had kittens last spring bwa hahahha.}

_{A year later Edgar's a Mom again, we have homes for all of the kittens, and more. We're actually considering not spaying her and letting her have another batch, she does all of the work, she's an amazing Mommy and we have people lined up wanting kittens. Plus you all know by now how much we love breeding lmao, at least we've stopped letting the chickens hatch eggs...}

One grey, two grey/white/black, and one all black.

_{It's really hard to tell but there is the second kitten being born in the photo above. They really camouflage in, it was very difficult for me to get good photos.}

Her labour started around 4pm yesterday. She was meowing at me a lot, and I figured it was probably time. She wanted a lot of pets, as long as I was stroking her she was quiet, but as soon as I'd stop she'd start back up meowing again. I'm super grateful that she wanted me to be a part of this experience, and that she didn't want to just go hide somewhere to have them. I admit, I was definitely all sentimental feeling remembering my babies...

I have the most photos of her with the grey one because it was first lol, we all know how we are with the first child...

She Let the Boys Hang Out Too

Brendan and the children absolutely loved the experience. Everyone was gathered around, and the younger boys had so many questions, it was a really great night for all of us. I'll leave you all with this video...

So beautiful. So glad we got to see them before they were even 24 hours old. So cool. Too funny when you think of it. The first one out is the one we found sleeping on top of the kitten pyramid. Very awesome indeed. Lynds you make an awesome midwife. Your skills in animal husbandry are blossoming. Thank you Edgar for this breathtaking experience. xx

It was so great that you and Craig came over this afternoon to see your grandbabies hahaha! <3 <3 I loved how Edgar totally trusted you guys to be around the kittens!
