ULOG #11 RUNNING WITH A NEW FRIEND ON INDIAN POINT ROAD

in ulog •  6 years ago  (edited)

A little cooler day today and the sky always threatening rain which never came. Very misty and overcast. Seemed to me a super day to go for a run on Indian Point Road. The weather had no effect on all the avid sailors and boaters out on the bay today. Just a perfect backdrop for a super cool run.

The ducks took off when I came, sadly.

Ah and what I have here. A new little friend that did not seem to be the least bothered that I ran down the hill towards her. The fact that I stopped and approached and stood at least three feet from her while she munched away completely amazed me and did not faze her one bit. In fact if I some food I am sure she would have partaked. I thought wow, now I have a new running partner, but sadly she was not going my way.

Espectacular run having all that nature around you.
Nice to see you are running again!

Thank you. Yes it is very beautiful and soooooo very good to be back. !!!

Omg how cute!! I bet those are the deer I've heard of by my friend who lives on that road and she has to have 10 foot fences around her gardens LOLOL!!! Fearless Deer!! Fearless hungry deer! :D :D

yes. I see them up there a lot and in french village and everyone has a fence around the garden. we would have to do the same here. I think I will make a garden..maybe next year.

What a gorgeous little friend! Perfect day for a run and meeting new friends! Great day for the perfect lighting for photos too.

Everything about that moment was completely perfect.

How lucky you are. I would have sat down and stayed as long as she did. What a beautiful creature. Is it a caribou?💛

Yes, very lucky...indeed....I did stay...she left first...this is a caribou...they live in the tundra..

Just thought she had a very long head for a deer. X

oh..we dont have caribou here

Yes...she does..caribou live in the tundra, we dont actually classify as tundra. ..all caribou female and male have antlers. they live with Santa Claus

no way to know actually if it is a she

Well its very sweet, he or she. Bet it would love to live with Santa too 😁

they are all sweet, unless you total your car and sustain an injury as I did in January 2016.. Kaboom..but I love them all. they spend a lot of time at my home due to the amount of bush in the back
