Thanks again to Sir Terry @surpassinggoogle, who never failed to support the Filipino Steem it Community and for inspiring me to write this post. πβ€
If you have read my last blog post, I know that you are already aware that Iβm quite busy these days because of my internship. But if you are just a new visitor and a reader in my blog you can click the link provided so you can see my previous blog post.
So I stated with my previous post that aside of being an ordinary intern; my team & I were also given the privilege to be a part of some workshops, and I was also included to their modelling class.
How did this happen?
So lemme tell you the side story first;
My supervisor gave me a task to do a list for the schedule of the VTR (Video Track Record) for that week. After encoding and printing the list,I posted it on the VTR room in the Studio so my colleagues can also have a track for the schedule. Then the next thing happened; one of my colleagues took a picture of it and posted it on Facebook. We're also required to market our services So what I did was, I also shared her post in my profile as a way also of inviting some of my friends to be part of the Free VTR schedule, later on my Sup. Messaged me on my facebook account and scolded for posting the schedule. Little did I know our foolish action can result to a bigger issues because we included the name of the companies that looking for some talents which is not good. Our Sup. Told me that every pot should be generic because there is a protocol to be followed.
As an intern, I know that it is really normal to commit mistakes and error because the company you work for is your training ground for you to be ready in the professional world. What made me sad & nervous that day was when my sup. Told me that I have to be punished for what I did, I thought he will report me to my Program head for what I did or he will ask me to do overtime work but I was surprised when he told me that he wants to see me the next day to be on my heels and do catwalk during the modelling class. So without any second thoughts the next day I brought my 6 inches heels with me & joined the modelling class cozβ as if I had a choice. It was really hard for me because its been a while since the last time I walked with my heels and at the same time I donβt want to disappoint my Supervisor. At first it was really hard for me to walk and balance rightly. The next thing I knew I was walking confidently and the other models and my colleagues started praising my walk and charisma. I do not know why LOL then little did I know the mentor and my Supervisor was observing me then later on they insisted me to join their upcoming fashion show event because they also knew I have joined beauty pageants before and I also accept photoshoots from different local photographers. Imagine? From a mistake turned into an opportunity. Who am I to say NO? So the next thing happened I was a part of every modelling class
I was really happy because its been a while since I did what I love to do, it was really my dream since I was in high school which is to be a ramp model. I experienced it before, aside of being a Ramp model, I was also a beauty queen title holder wayback high school. How I wish I could show you some photos but I did not bring the photo album with me here in Dvo. City and after that opportunity started to come yet I turned it down because I have to prioritized my study. Nowadays Iβm just accepting invites from local photographers for photoshoots because itβs not that hassle & time consuming as you thought.
So the fashion show event I was telling you earlier happened last May 5, 2018 held at Abreeza Ayala Mall Davao City. It was a part of the Philippine Halal Tourism & Trade Expo 2018, it happened during their opening day. It was not just an ordinary fashion show event because we also advertise some of the Halal products of the exhibitors.
After doing the walk, we have to do the mannequin challenge where we are not allowed to move, we have to stand on some booths and pose for 2 min. then change pose every after 2 min. We did it for 6 min so in total we did 3 poses. I thought it would end up there but No it doesnβt, we have to do the mannequin challenge again on their pavilion for 2 min and after that I was one of the 5 chosen models to be one of the representative during the Commitment of support signing in support to PHTTE. I also made friends with some Indonesians, I have no picture to show with you guys because I left my phone in the dressing room during the event. π
Here are some photos during the event;
I am wearing a Hijab & dressed as a Modern Muslim Woman, didn't expect that it would suit me. Some people thought I was a princess who is one of the VIP guess of the event, LOL π
I am honoured and blessed to be a part of this event. It was tiring yet amazing cozβ I have also learned something, Halal is not just about Muslim food but Itβs a way and practice of life that is permissible in the eye of our God. There were also a lot of Halal products that I've tried and I learned that there were a lot of beautiful places you can visit when you are in ARMM region. I am hoping that someday I can visit all those beautiful places.

I would like to thank Ben Marfori Studio for the opportunity, Sir Flo, my modelling mentor, the Keitaro Collection for sponsoring my Gown & Hijab during the event, My Friends/Colleagues for their never ending support during the event especially Sheena for always accompanying and guiding me in every decision I make, ate Dawn Simon for my free make-up. Very Talented and Kind πβΊ and To God for giving me strength & wisdom during the entire event.
