There goes my son again in his hot rod!
He will be back in time for dinner though.
We're grilling dinner later on!
Since graduating from high school, my son started working weekdays as a swim coach again this summer. The weekends, however, are for spending time hanging out with his friends before they take off to different colleges (and the armed forces) across the country.
Can anyone with a good eye tell what college my son will attend?
The weirdest thing happened this morning.
A huge buzzard was on the deck, right outside the window. I saw something red move out the corner of my eye and thought it was the flag moving. Holy crap was I shocked to see a huge buzzard instead!
When I went for my smartphone to get some photos [naturally] it flew away. I snapped a couple photos while it hungout on the fence. The buzzard reminded me of a flying turkey!
Is it supposed to be a bad sign or omen if you
see a buzzard or one visits your home?
The past winter was especially brutal and I lost many of my perennials as well as a holly bush that was in front of our house. I suppose it was time for a change in landscape anyway. We cut down all the old shrubs and went to Home Depot to buy some new greenery.
No flowers bought today though....
Dug holes, laid out the new plants, mixed peat moss with potting soil and got the job done. I should have taken "before and after" photos of the landscape project. Oh well! I'll take some photos of
the way it looks now to post.
Did anyone else lose plants after this past winter?
Now that work is done....
....it's time for "grilling and chilling!"

Awesome post and photos Nina!! I'll guess Ohio State only cause the decal looks like it may have an "O" in it..lol! I've heard of that old wives tale about birds but choose not to believe in it although it would've startled me to look out my window and see it. Cool that you got a photo and isn't that always the way..like they know that you're gonna take their photo and purposely fly off. Have a great Monday!! xoxo

If you are talking about the decal on the car as the clue... no, cannot figure which college...
but if you are talking about the buzzard as a clue, then University of Denver.

The buzzard is an amazing sighting! What did you keep on your deck to attract it? Lol..Where did your son decided on going to college? Ooh, and the hot rod...how lucky is he!!!

It was such an incredibly large buzzard @icybc and its wingspan was ginormous! There wasn't anything on the deck to attract the bird. Very strange. Have you ever had that happen?
I cannot say where my son is going or I'll be giving it away too soon since there's a little test going on in my post😊

Yes, no car is allowed for my son either, but he is doing well (4.00 GPA) in all his classes. One semester down, and he is taking summer class too..I just went and picked him up for Memorial Weekend, and returned him on Sunday! So much driving and my back is paying for it!

That car is really cool and the greenery and cloud formations and overall weather is making that picture more amazing and good to see all these green plants and in my opinion it will give great essence if taken for the home based plantation. I’ve heard if a bird hits your window , either home or vehicle, and dies than that is suppose to be a bad omen.

Your Son certainly has a sweet ride, unfortunately I only know the great British Universities - you know Oxford, Cambridge and Hull.
You know Big Bird, that's awesome it's been ages since I last watched Sesame Street although I preferred the guy in the garbage can if I am honest.
I was going to say your garden is very full and regimental....but it's the garden centre isn't it - old age is not treating me well at the moment it seems.
