Finally, I'm back writing again! How's everyone?! I hope everyone's doing fine! Anyway, I just want to share how my day went.

One of my longtime students has messaged me last night that he wanted to see me before he goes back to Japan. We've known each other for 2 years as his online English teacher and I also taught his sons through the online lessons.

I woke up around 8 am, went out around 10 am (yes I move so slow and I was late when I arrived at our meeting place. LOL!). I met him near SM City Cebu, he asked me where's the best place to have lunch while enjoying the sea view. I recommended him Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant.

First Stop:

We finally arrived in Lantaw Restaurant in Cordova City. It took us an hour to arrive here due to the traffic. It was really hot when we arrived here.

The sea is at low tide when we came. :(

The seats outside are all empty, most of the customers were hiding inside the restaurant, hiding from Mr. Sun! LOL!

This is the view from the inside of the restaurant. Much more comfortable than staying outside. Staying outside is much better especially at night. Only a few people were around at that time.

Our food has finally arrived! Yey! I chose this food not for myself, but for my student because some of the foods I ordered were not common for them. I ordered Baked scallops, Adobong Pusit (Squid stewed in vinegar), Chop suey(mixed vegetables with meat), and Spicy chicken moringa soup with coconut milk in a coconut shell (it's quite long!xD).

We finished our lunch! I think I ate too much! Excuse the mess that I made.xD He said that he enjoyed his food. He didn't eat so much rice, I'm such a rice eater. I guess all Filipinos are. We're a proud pack of rice eaters. xD
He was a little bit disappointed because the sea was at low tide, but he said that he really enjoyed the delicious food.

Second Stop:

Went to 10,000 Roses Cafe which is very near from the restaurant where we had lunch, it was just a 5-minute walk going to this place. These aren't 100 percent real flowers, they are artificial roses. This cafe is run by a Korean owner he got this idea from his hometown's famous attraction.

It was scorching hot outside so we decided to have a drink at the cafe to cool down our throats! We never got disappointed. Their drinks were really good and satisfying!

This two-storey cafe has an air-conditioned place as well as enormous spaces for those outdoor diners and guests. The cafe has a modern industrial look, you can also enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea, the mangrove forest, and the dynamic view of Cebu's skyline.

Late afternoons and evenings are very ideal time to enjoy this place. The ocean which is near to this cafe gives you a soothing cool feeling after a long day at work, or from the heavy traffic of the city.

Of course, we didn't stay longer and wait until it's late afternoon because we have to go back to the city for his early flight the next day. Probably I'll come back here and tag along my friends to enjoy more of this place. :D

We still managed to smile despite the heat from the sun. xD

If you need a quick break from the bustling city without going very far, 10,000 Roses Cafe is a superb option for you!

Last Stop:

After we've finally cooled down and enjoyed the view of 10,000 white roses we headed to our last spot before ending the tour. We visited Cebu Happy World Museum and arrived around 3 PM. This place is still located in Cordova City.

We took a "Habal-Habal" or motorbike going to the museum. The cafe is 1.9 kilometers away from the 10,000 Roses Cafe. This was his first time to ride on a motorbike with a driver because he usually drives his motorbike by himself.

Actually, I took lots of pictures, but some of it was blurry or of bad quality. As much as I love to take pictures of every 3D paintings, I just couldn't take all of it because it was very hot inside and we have to take pictures quickly. We took turns in taking pictures of each other. This museum has 70 types of amazing 3-dimensional paintings. All of these artworks are humbly created by a skillful Korean painter.

Upon entering the museum you have to take off your footwear after paying the entrance fee. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

My student really enjoyed a variety of 3-D paintings, interactive paintings, and exceptional optical illusions. The exhibit is divided into 6 sections: World Famous Art, Religious Beliefs, Ocean, Jurassic Animal, Philippine Pride, and Ending Sections). I'm really not a fan of museums, but this one is really creative and it ignites your imagination.

After taking lots of pictures inside the museum, we got tired and decided to head back to the city. There weren't any taxis around the museum, they were all in the mall so we rode on a pedicab or cycle rickshaw to get there. This was also his first time to ride on it.

This ends my adventure for this morning and afternoon, the rest of the evening we just parted ways and bid goodbyes to each other. I went back home and struggling to get home early before midnight.LOL! The traffic was quite heavy, especially at night. My student supposedly had a plan to go to Bohol but due to the time constraint, I suggested him to visit these places instead. I'm really glad that I made his short staycation worthwhile. xD

I got back home at around 9 pm. I got famished and thought of making a chicken vegetable salad. It didn't taste so bad, I just added lots of pepper on it making it really spicy! Ending my day with a healthy food, now I can put myself to rest! winks
