Balcony Grove Update Ulog

in ulog •  5 years ago

The tomato plants are back outside for the season! This will be their second summer on the balcony, as these plants are over a year old! :)

What 14-15 month old tomato plants look like.

I harvested a tomato as well as a bunch of cleaning and rearranging today. :)

The first full-sized tomato I've gotten over the entire life of these plants! :D I got a grape-sized one in the winter. Hopefully there will be more this summer.

The balcony door seems huge now without the tomatoes there in front of it.

It's been a chilly, rainy day here. I'm not complaining, it was nice. And so many of y'all are in crazy heat waves, while Colorado has been blessedly mild this spring.

Almost a perfect cat beard. One day I will get that at the right angle without a blur. ;)

So what were you all up to this Monday, Steem fam? I hope you had a good day! I am deep in the anhedonia, where I have been for weeks. I try to beat it off with a stick by staying busy, but my spoons usually run out and then the sads strike. :(

Nice to see your tomato bounty :~) How did it taste, sweet and tender? Nice trick bringing it indoors for the winter, then giving it fresh air once again instead of just letting it die.

I haven't eaten it yet - I washed it and put it in my dish rack. I'll probably eat it today. :)

Hope the plants give you so many more tomatoes, and thats pretty close with the cat beard, My day was rainy and busy at work but still a good day

I'm hoping since they're all nice and established, once they adjust to being outside they'll start making lots of flowers. The other day there was a bee looking for noms on my balcony and I felt really bad because none of my flower seeds have even sprouted yet!

I think the bee will now that and will be back to check them again soon for flowers and when they do will head off and tell all its friends and then they will be regular visitors :)

Wow that’s such a cool shot it’s really getting in there

Right? I didn't take it, for clarity - I just love the bee butt photos. None of my camera options can do macro like that. XD

Ohh I see it is such an awesome shot, and if i see any bees whe I have my macro ens on I will try and get some bee butt shots :)

Hooray bee butts! :D

Happy to see your balcony. These days one of my hobbies is to see balcony gardens on Instagram ;) Congrats for the first harvest!

Thanks! I love balcony gardens too! <3
