ULOG: Feeling Depressed But Music Calmed The Soul

in ulog •  6 years ago

Yesterday or well the other day I was so depressed and sad. It was a Saturday and instead of enjoying my week-end I felt so down because of some encounter with my family that was not good. It may have been thru group chat but sometimes words hurt more than physical pain. I felt so suicidal but my cousin called me. She is a retreat master and very supportive. After all my crying and talking for almost an hour I felt a little better.

So I joined the live rosary again at 9pm and slept after. I felt relaxed a little but still sad. Sunday was supposed to be Father's Day but my Dad has been gone for 41 years. I greeted the other fathers. We did not have any celebration, just spaghetti and coke. No budget.

I will be celebrating my 60th birthday next year and I wanted an oldies but goodies playlist. I found some on YouTube and a friend taught me how to convert them.

Then I decided to listen first to my choices. I played them on my iPad and iPhone using a blutooth speaker. I sang along loud and clear. Haha I just told the people in the house sorry if out of tune but I am happy.

They were also singing along where they were because the speaker was loud lol. Since it was nonstop, I kept singing the whole afternoon. It felt good to sing and even just to listen.

Today I am listening and downloaded my favorite oldies - Elvis Presley. I am just moving to the beat while typing. I sing along to the ones I know, there are some not really popular but also nice.

So I hope today will also be good. Just going to listen to music, watch my series on Netflix and do my Diamond Art.
