Steem Basic Income Revisited - another delegation to the worthy.

Last week I hosted a Music Challenge contest which didn’t really pick up a lot of Steem (sorry, couldn't resist the pun!).

It has now ended, but of the 20 prizes of 0.5 SBD I was willing to donate, only 7 were filled. This has left me with 6.5 SBD still in the prize kitty. I had reserved this SBD and it seems nobody wanted it!

So what I have done is converted the remaining SBD to Steem. The conversion rate is bad at the moment and I received less than 6 Steem. I am going to give 6 people one share each that will either enrol them into the Steem Basic Income scheme or add another share to their kitty.

For those who don’t know what this is, well it’s a vote for life.

Each and every post you create on Steemit will give you an up-vote. A single share will certainly not make you rich but you can add to them quite easily by sponsoring someone else into the scheme.

I have already sponsored 7 people and I won’t add to their shares. This is to ensure the 'wealth is spread '

If I have not picked you this time I’m sorry. The last time I did this I mentioned I had over 150 followers, but a few days ago that surpassed 200. I simply can’t enrol everyone.

Previously it took around 3 days for my sponsors and myself to receive a wallet message that we had been enrolled. It may be quicker now; I am not sure, so if you are on the list below I expect you will start receiving your up-vote after this amount of time has passed.

@vanessav – Airdrop Tuesday? What can I say.., a very generous person who gives free crypto for the first FIVE persons to send a receiving address every TUESDAY. I have had RavenCoin, SwiftDemand, ROICoin and BitShares over the last few weeks. Thanks for tolerating my occasional dumbness too!

@steddyman – I have known you personally for 30 years now and you have helped me countless times in multiple areas. I know you are new to Steemit so here’s a share for you.

@bozz – A Steemain I met courtesy of @thesteemengine who I have been chatting with on discord. Thanks for the tips and advice you have given me, they have helped enormously!

The next THREE shares I am delegating to the Filipino community as I have connections to these people and I want to support them and help grow Steemit for people in this part of the world. They all have something to give and I have received information from all of them within their previous work.

@appguy – For educating me about faucets; which ones are good and which ones are bad. If one day I ever get on the Android platform again, I can actually use this information!

@pinay – As @bingbabe loves Filipino food and is a native, I taken an interest in your ‘food’ articles, as does she!

@ryl – Someone I have just met on Steemit. She seems to have had some bad luck and missed the ‘Music Challenge’ due to unforeseen circumstances. Good solid articles too which I think are worthy of a share.

I do plan to increase my personal stake in @steembasicincome within the coming weeks and I have other people I will be giving shares too.

That's generous of you. If people are posting regularly they will earn an extra steem in a few months. I've had people nominate me, but I'd rather it went to those who are struggling

I know what you mean. This was really the fallout fund of the other 'failed' contest. You have to try these things to see if they at going to work or not. I know some of the more disadvantaged people did enter it and got a 0.5SBD from me, but ultimately contests don't seem to be popular on Steemit.

Having visited the Philippines more than once, I have seen some of the poverty and bad areas. Much of the reluctance to join a platform such as Steemit may be down to confidence in getting points across in the English language. I know many can understand it but that's as far as it goes. When it comes to speaking the language or writing, they may feel embarrassed.

I feel everyone has something to offer, and have made this clear to the three people I have sponsored into the SBI scheme. Many people have mobile phones in this country and could potentially be adding something of interest.

I would think the people from the Philippines could build their own community here. Although a lot of stuff here is in English there is a thriving Korean community. I'm sure a lot of good could come from it.

Oh right, this reminds me that I've given you and @bozz a share as well.

It's taking a bit longer to process it seems. I think they're doing everything manually, so there must be a little backlog.

Thanks @daan! Do you know how to check just how many share you have?

There's a spreadsheet but can't remember where I found the link. I've looked for my name on there, but couldn't find it.

Hey thanks @daan! Much appreciated. I will reciprocate as soon as I get some STEEM back.

Thank You! This is a challenge for me to write longer so upvote is worth. :-D

Yes, exactly, write better stuff and you will see me more often, and thanks for the brupvoter's but really there's no need. Save it for yourself, and just write some good content.

You are so generous my friend @slobberchops, I wish you best future both on steemit and your offline. Enjoy your great day my friend. Regard

WOW! Thank you so much! Send my regards to @bingbabe💃

Your welcome, keeping Steeming on!

I bought 1 share to steembasicincome and I didn't know that we are allowed to buy more shares. Thank you for this post.

You can buy as many as you want, but you must sponsor a share to someone else who is deserving of one too.

So you get the benefit as well as another person.

Got it. Thank you! I will definitely buy more shares and sponsor more :)

Hey @slobberchops , you my friend have an additional 14 people who owe a "thank you" so I will say it for them, Thank You.
I knew nothing of steembasicincome until I read your initial post on it. Since then I decided that I would give back to some people who have become special to me on here using the steembasicincome program. To date I have enrolled 14, and it is my stated plan to enroll two more each week going forward, but I realized this weekend the number needs to be changed to three instead of two. The reason for that is @crazybgadventures "shoutoutsaturdays" is where I announce and his guide lines are to mention three people when you use that tag, so I will abide by his wishes since I am riding on his wagon so to speak.
So thanks for sharing the information on this program, as I might never have found it on my own.

That is so cool of you @sultnpapper. I too will be inducting some more people into this great scheme once my SBD's are up again. Lets keep the motivation going!

I prefer the word "program" over the word "scheme", scheme just has taken on such a negative vibe lately and this is such a positive thing, at least for the time being.

Good implication in that great initiative that is STeem Basic Income, thanks for sharing the pleasure and motivating some people to post more quality content on the platform.

Very generousof you

acts of kindness like this are good for the community

tip!

I probably will have to look into this steembasicincome method that seems to be taking the trend these days.
I must say I feel horrible for not spotting it earlier and made time to really study through as I have been really caught up with tons of things to settle by the end of this month.

What you are doing is very admirable, despite SBD is much weaker than Steem, you chose to convert and gave it to those you feel they deserve it.

Keep up that good work, and wishing you abundance all the way!

Thanks for the comments, Ill be doing some more soon. Would like everyone to have a stake in this at some point. It does boost your confidence!

Right on! Looks like @vanessav is doing SmartCash tomorrow!

Great initiative @slobberchops !!

Hey, thanks a ton! I just read through the post and am finally starting to understand how their system works. I still have to dig into it a little more so that I understand it fully. Looks like a great program though.

Thanks for that, I really appreciate the nomination. Still trying to find my feet around here.

Woow! Congratulations my friend @pinay :) :)

Hi @slobberchops! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @tattoodjay!

@tattoodjay wrote lately about: Feel free to follow @tattoodjay if you like it :)

@tipU is looking for SP delegators - pays out 100% of profit to all investors. Write a comment: @tipu I want to delegate X sp - where X is the amount of SP and @tipU will answer you with a delegation link :)

You got a 10.85% upvote from @brupvoter courtesy of @appguy!
