Foundation is a skin-coloured
makeup applied to the face to create an even, uniform colour to the complexion, to cover flaws and, sometimes, to change the natural skintone. Some foundations also function as a moisturizer, sunscreen, astringent or base layer for more complex cosmetics.
When it comes to choosing the best foundations, you need to look at your skin types because there are many types of foundation out there and I'd be discussing each one of them to help you pick what's best for you.
Types of foundation
We have different types ,but I'll be discussing on a few of them.
Liquid foundation: Is the more popular kind amongst makeup users. It is easy to work with and is conveniently package but varies from matte to devy.
Cream foundation: This type of foundation works well for those with normal/dry skin. It gives more coverage than liquid foundation but they are usually wet with dew unless you set with powder.
Pressed foundation: If you have an oily skin, a pressed foundation would be a good make up foundation base for you because it is matte and helps to cover shine effectively.
Tint or sheer foundation
They are not really foundation but they come close because they possess water in them which contain sun protection factor that helps in bringing out a glowing look. This kind of foundation cannot be used for a bridal makeup or for those with oily skin because of our weather(the coverage is very light) but its most appropriate for beach models and those with flawless skin .
5.Pancake foundation: It is a water based formula processed in a pan. It offers a dull finish and can be used for clown or body painting. It could also be used for theatrical makeup.
The search for perfect foundation doesn't just start and end with color matching, you need to find what formulation works best for you skin type and what sort of texture is best suited. I hope you all find my post useful.
