Hello steemians, greetings to y'all.

HAPPY FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH OF JUNE.πŸ’ƒπŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒ

Am very happy and at the same touched on my today's Ulog/ gratitude challenge.

It's the 26th day of gratitude challenge organized by a great and benevolent soul @tojukaka.

Have been planning on visiting an orphanage home ever since knowing @gee1, @adedoyinwealth, @prettyjules158, @teardrops, @surpassinggoogle, @randomactofkindness, @anaman, @steemgh, @mickyscofield and @wafrica.

They all inspired and cultivated the spirit of love and care for the unopportune souls especially those on the street and at orphanage homes.

@dimimp and @steemjet, ain't left out too. Bigger thanks to them too for without you guys, I wouldn't have gotten the resources to embark on this.

So far on steemit, I must say I have learnt and gain a lot. Those who knows me in person, do know exactly what am talking about. I must say steemit is indeed more than a blessing to me.

So today I visited the orphanage home.

Since I don't know the city of Owerri well enough because I was born and brought up in the north. Abuja to be precise.

I went with my aunt and a couple of other members of her ministry. She belongs to the visiting ministry of Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

After our church service at the church, we moved to our meet up place, where we were going to gather together to embark on the journey.

We arrived and I meet some other people too. Then we prayed and embarked on our journey by road transport.

Photo of we on our way to the orphanage home.
From the left is a sprinter, my aunt, me, and our neighbor living up stairs.

The journey was a very smooth ride I must say due to the state of the roads in the city of Owerri.

We finally arrived to our destination,

And coming down from the car, I decided to a photo.

Then finally we went in.

The babies that were awake was brought to us.
We were happy and at the same time sad. Some were nostalgic because they remembered how they suffered before their were able to have a child, and here are kids without a mother or father.

The orphanage home we visited cared for children who's parents are death and no one to look after them.

IMG_20180603_123259_9.jpg
We gave them the gifts we bought for them, sang, and prayered for them.

While some of the kids allowed us to carry them, some didn't.

Like this baby am carrying below.

She refused been carried by any of us, the visitors except me, I was touched to the core. We played with my phone and I was been told that it looks like I was the one that gave birth to her.

Also I was been told that, that male child belowπŸ‘‡ looks like me when I was little by my aunt.
IMG_20180603_125824_2.jpg

After praying for them, a grown kid prayed for we the visitors. Dear reader you need to see how he prayed endlessly. I was like 😭😭😭.

The grown up kid praying for us.

Then the woman in charged thanked us deeply. She was really grateful because despite the hardship we were still able to bring something for the kids.

Let me tell you a short true life story.

Their are a twins in the orphanage home who were three months old. Their mom died while trying to give birth to them.
Do you know the most shocking part?
She died while trying to give birth to her 7th child which turns out to be twins.
I was so melancholy when we were told the woman's husband was a pastor. I was touched, sad and angry. My feelings go were just mixed.
The father of the child refused taking the children as his. That was when the sisters of the orphanage came to the children's rescue.

Here are photos of the the twins belowπŸ‘‡.

IMG_20180603_131614_6.jpg

But then am also angry with the mom of the children too.

Why?

Because she wasn't able to stand up.

Here is why I do support female education to the core and also feminism just as my dear @jeaniepearl and @mrprecious is.

Women should always bear in mind that giving birth to children is not the problem but taking good proper care of them is. They should also know that they are doing their body much more harm than good by giving birth to kids almost all the time.
Though they might say that, that's how their husband wants it. But bear in mind if anything happens to you or you die in the process. The man might just decide to get himself anotherwife and move on with his life like nothing happened. A d the kids that are left behind will now have to suffer if the man Marry's a bad wife.
The enlightment for family planning should be preached around the globe. Their are different family planning method that might suits your body system.
While trying to tell my neighbor's wife why family planning is important, she told me if a woman who says her husband doesn't like using condom. That it was like a sin. I was shocked.
And all could say at first is,

"you see the power of ignorance and how the word of God is been misinterpreted."

I didn't say much because I wasn't in my best mode of educating about sex and other related stuffs.

After some time we took some random photos, here are they below.

After that we left, and came back to our various destination.

My Gratitude Message.

Am so grateful to God for life's of the kids I met today and also the sisters taking care of them.
The kids are healthy to me and doing fine, I can't be thankful to God enough for that alone.
His mercies has always been radiating in the life's of the kids and I must say my heart is full of praise.

I do have a strong hope that in the future those kids would make them proud. They would find happiness and joy at last.

Well done so much for this trip to the orphanage home. It is a journey as it is a lesson, a journey in the sense that it reawakens the need to care for the less privileged amongst us and a lesson in the sense that the girl-child needs to be properly educated, to add value to our society. Thank you so much for this tender gesture.

Awwwwn...
Thanks momma for stopping by, I really really preciate.

And yes it's truly a remarkable journey I won't forget.
Also talking on the need of girls education, I feel they are the ones that needs to be more or most educated then we. But our society doesn't see it so.

We can start from individuals, changing our mentality could go a long way in changing our society. Thank you so much dear

This is truly touching. I am from Ikeduru LGA. Anytime that I come to the east I will definitely make it a date to visit those lovely children.

As for the true life story that you told, you do not need to be angry, Thank God for the sisters that have taken up the mantle to take care of the children. God bless them, God bless you.

Awwwwn..
That would be lovely..
Thanks for stopping by.
The reason am angry is because of how she was so lose to the husband. Most men are scum, sorry to say.
She should have discussed it with her husband than for them taking in again for the seventh time when thwy have not yet taken care of the six children they already had.
