ULOG: Getting Out Of My Comfort Zone.

When I first got into cryptocurrency I took to trading as a fish takes to water. I read a little, learned from whoever I could and dove head first into the deep end. At the time, I would say I was well outside of my comfort zone. Looking back now and realizing how many other things I put on hold, I now realize how comfortable I got in that space.

I originally got into cryptocurrency looking for a payment processor for a web design business I was trying to get started. Once I started making money trading, I almost all but forgot about web design. I have to say it has been a great run and it's probably far from over, but if there is one thing this bear market has shown me, it's just how comfortable I've gotten in this space. On top of that, once again I've put all my eggs in one basket. If anything does happen to cryptocurrency, I'll find myself right back where I started from.

Once again it's time to get out of my comfort zone. I'll be in crypto till the day I die, but I need to start expanding my horizons. I need to once again get out of my comfort zone. The money I've saved trading could now help me get my web design business off the ground. I know in the back of my head I put it on hold because deep down inside I didn't think I was good enough. I need a lot of work in the graphics department, and my HTML and CSS skills were a little dated. I can't accept that though. I have to get out of this comfort zone and begin to "buidl" as we say :) I need to start working on web design projects that are outside of my comfort zone. I need to force myself to get out there and look for clients. I also need to build my graphic design skills. I can always outsource what I can't do, but basic font work, logo design, and even basic content creation is not beyond my means. Again, it's just a matter of practice and effort.

I'll be blogging more about freelance web design and posting some of my graphics work to Steemit. I'd like to start adding my custom made graphics to my daily posts. I need to start practicing layout design, and I'd like to do it with a bunch of crypto-related projects. Anyway, that's where I'm at right now. I've spent a lot of time sitting around waiting for this bear market to reverse. I've realized now that this is actually an opportunity to improve myself and to start working on the things I really love and want to improve in my life.

This was something I worked on yesterday. I'm going to be taking more of my photography and working with my font layout skills. I also need to start practicing font layout and design.

2019 has been an interesting year for me so far. I'm tackling weight loss and I think it's going to be the year I force myself to get out of my comfort zone in every level of my life. I need to push myself further both personally and professionally. It's time to get out of my comfort zone and strive to build more in my life both online and IRL.
