Last night was lotsa rain, thunder & lightning.
We awoke early to take a look at Uluru. She had a nice cloud crown on.
At 10am, we went on a free guided tour (part of the park entry). It was very educational, talking about some of the dreamtime stories and the geology of the rock & surrounds.
(From October it starts at 8am)
This small cave was where the young boys would learn lessons about the dreamtime from their grandfathers. The dreamtime gave a insight about right and wrong & how to survive in the outback.
This cave was where the men conducted ceremonies.
The women had their places too but they were "too culturally sensitive" to photo.
The guide talking about some food types in the outback.
Never been up to Uluru before, but she's a good looker with that cloud on! Funny how even in September we are getting that sort of thing out in the desert parts of Australia.
