Umran Malik is an Indian bowler who has raw speed and an explosive pace. He's from Jammu & Kashmir and made his debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His debut came on List A Cricket in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

About Umran Malik
Randhir Singh Manhas, Umran's coach, took him on as a ward when Umran was only 17. Umran was at his home at Maulana Azad Stadium of Jammu where he had a meeting with Manhas at his Cricket Coaching Centre.
Mahas says that at the beginning Umran was lazy and did not seem to be very efficient despite their natural talent and a passion to play.
Manhas Umran, who is called 'Rajan Sir among his students, shared that Umran was selected as a player for his U-19 Jammu & Kashmir Team, however, he was not given the opportunity to play. Manhas further states that Umran improved his speed by playing tennis bowls as well as playing regular cricket with a tennis ball.
Umran, who was dropped out of class X and was born into the humble family background, was never difficult to learn Cricket but his father's help helped him to progress.
Ajay Ratra who is the current coach from Assam also a former Indian cricketer was awed by Umran after Umran was playing in the nets at the Ranji Trophy Match.
It was a totally opposite turn for Umran when the former Indian bowler Irfan Pathan took the former Indian bowler as a step-son.
Pathan believes that although Umran was a fast bowler, however, his bowling technique was in need of some tweaking.
He wished to allow Umran an extended time to exercise, but he was unable because of the repeal from Article 370.
