Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - Best In The Franchise? (Short Review)

The Uncharted franchise has become one of the best franchises in Playstation History. Since it was released on PS3 10 years ago, the action adventure series from Naughty Dog has continued to grow in its story and spectacle. But with the story of Nathan Drake now definitively concluded, the series has a chance to broaden its horizons and explore new stories and characters. And that’s exactly what Uncharted: The Lost Legacy aims to accomplish. The Lost Legacy was first announced as DLC but now has become a full game, in this new entry we follow the story of Cloe and Nadine which are traveling to India to find a lost treasure.

Full game or DLC?

What was supposed to be a DLC expansion has now become a full fledged game. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy knows its formula and sticks to it well. It takes everything that Uncharted 4 did so well, and incorporates it into a new journey. It also really improves upon Uncharted 4's formula. What I really liked about it, is that is much more open and there is much more room to explore the areas. If you like treasure hunting and trophy hunting this game is build for you. There are alot of collectibles and easter eggs which really add a lot of replay value to the game.

Just like its previous entry the gameplay, characters and presentation remain one of the best in gaming today. Even though it was first developed as a DLC experience, it is now a full-featured game with a full multiplayer suite and a great price. The story does not have alot of depth but the bond between Cloe and Nadine is what really drives the story. The interaction between Cloe and Nadine is top notch and really makes the story feel realistic. If you are a Playstation owner and if you like action adventure games this is a must buy and one of the best games in Naughty Dogs portfolio.
