Timber! More 'Born to be Mild' Cycling Adventures

After borrowing one of my brother's bikes we decided to cycle from Matlock to Caudwell's Mill, Rowsley, Derbyshire (UK). We hadn't been out long before we came across a tree that had fallen on the path. It was too heavy to move so my brother went back to his flat to fetch a saw. Funnily, enough we hadn't thought to take one with us!

After we cleared the path we carried on through Whitworth Park. The park was lovely, plenty of space, children's play area, bowling green, cafe, small pond complete with heron!

After going through the park we found some disused railway carriages. I would have loved to have had a closer look but they were on private property.

We had a lovely lunch at Caudwell's Mill and then rode back. The ride was approximately 10 miles.
