A street vendor with a “Heart of Gold & Heartbeat of Humanity”

To begin with, I would like to tell you one simple thing, “Poor is always Rich and vice versa”. I just want to narrate you a heartwarming sacrifice {his daily profits} of a street vendor which proves beyond doubt the truthiness of those quoted words.

Whenever I was feeling hungry en route to or from the office, my mind was reminiscent of the delectable taste of the masala groundnuts which were being sold by a street vendor in a particular location. Basically, he hails from the other state and came to Chennai to make his both ends meet.

Actually, I am a big fan of masala peanuts and have purchased the same from many street vendors and when compared, that particular street vendor’s quality and quantity is exceptional than theirs. While the others do it as a mere business, he does it not only as a business, but also with a little bit of humanity added to it.

Plainly speaking, one cannot buy peanuts if he doesn’t have Rs. 20/- (although this amount is small, it is a big one for the poor people) in their pockets as this has been set as a threshold below which you can’t buy them. But the same is not the case with “our street vendor” who is ready to give his “esteemed customers” even for as low as Rs. 5/-.

Another important thing worth mentioning here is that he will donate the masala groundnuts worth Rs. 20/- to the ones who cannot afford to buy it. He made it a point to do the same everyday at the end of his business hours. This is awesome by all means. This does mean that he is more inclined to fill someone else’s stomach rather than to fill his own pocket. How selfless he is! Isn’t it?

SHALL WE TAKE A CUE FROM HIM?

Hence the title “The Man with a Heart of Gold & Heartbeat of Humanity” and I hope you all agree with me, Friends.
