Alcohol For Underaged Drunker Is AllowedsteemCreated with Sketch.

Last night, I witnessed underaged drinking and a few teenage GIRLS from high school getting drunk and puking their guts out in KDCA. One of them was too drunk to realise that her top was sooo close to coming off. (Yes, they were underaged because there was a high school cultural competition going on in the hall.)

I am now confused at the point of merry-making during Kaamatan season. Is it a season to turn a blind eye and start training the youngsters to minum sampai nakalapik from a young age? I must have missed the memo.

I think it has reached a worrying stage where underaged drinking is not a concern among adults lepaking and those selling alcohol in KDCA. If you see a person who looks like a KID buying or drinking alcohol, shouldn’t it be your responsibility as an adult to check if they’re legally allowed to drink?? Takkan mau tunggu dorg mabuk sampai tidak sedar diri then something bad happens to them baru wanna kelam kabut address the issue. In the first place, where and how did they get alcohol in their system?

This should be taken into serious consideration. These are young GIRLS for God’s sake. Orang punya anak. How can you sit there and watch them get drunk then laugh it off or just say “choi!” and then resume with your boring cerita2 politic org tua. At this stage, we should worry less about who is robbing this country punya money and worry more about our ‘moginum’ culture which is clearly sending the wrong message and robbing our youth of their innocence.

I don’t blame the teens. They’re curious as to why their parents/aunties/uncles/cousins/brothers/sisters/grandma/grandpa bla bla love spending Every.Single.Night. drinking during Kaamatan in KDCA. They want to experience that fun too. Unfortunately, they do not realise that their 1 (or two) cans of beer for the night is probably equivalent to an average adult’s 10 sets of beer a night (from years of training).

Solution? I honestly don’t know what’s the solution to this.

  1. Adult/parents supervision? Boring pula mau bawa budak pigi minum cos ‘terpaksa’ pulang awal.
  2. IC validation before beli alcohol? Bikin susah saja. Itu tauke pun suda too mabuk to care. Asal cukup income ni malam to cover cost sewa gerai.

What do you guys think? What would you do if your teenage daughter’s teacher calls you to inform you that she’s drunk at a social event?

DISCLAIMER:
This post is meant for those who are equally concerned and might have good ideas to overcome this issue.

  1. If you’re gonna comment “biarlah tu”, no need to comment.
  2. If you’re gonna comment “jangan masuk campur orang lain punya parenting skills”, no need to comment.
  3. If you’re gonna comment “bah darah kadus kan”, no need to comment.
  4. If you’re gonna comment “biar dorg terasa”, no need to comment.
  5. If you’re gonna comment “ko pun begitu dulu”, I’ll pull your fingernails out one by one. Getting drunk in public at fifteen? My mother would have me hung by my eyelids.

Sekian.

UPDATE: Yang PM mau minta gambar as proof, KAU GILA KA? As an adult yang WARAS, our role is to protect the younger generation. Bukan mau kasi viral their faces and kasi malu them before they even graduate for your sharing and forwarding pleasure. Their teachers have been informed. I trust that yesterday’s matter is in good hands. What we can do now is to prevent it from progressing any further.
Ugh. The nerve of some ‘adults’.
