I have accepted a mission: to explore strange new blogs, to seek out new posts and new minnows, to boldly go where no Steemian has gone before! yes, I'm a geek...
The Mission
I will be trawling through this very platform hunting out those hidden gems, the undiscovered countries of newly arrived promising authors, freshly spawned minnows if you like. I wish to put a spotlight on those I think are deserving of a much wider audience.
I have decided to write these posts Monday to Friday, so expect 5 per week.

A great read if you are a fan of good old fashioned sci-fi dime novels of yesteryear.
@choogirl is a recent arrival to Steemit, originally from Australia but now living in Panama.
She has a great sense of humour and her posts reflect that, especially this one regarding the Steemwars currently underway.
@thedgt joined just yesterday and I was quite taken with his writing.
Here he presented a great read, an original fantasy story he asked for feedback on in order to improve as a writer.

Well to sum it all up. When the posts started to make money the were people who decided that it was a bad thing as the featured posts inside were not nearly as much as the value on my post. They also said that I was using other peoples work to make money on my post, this was referring to the links and "lack of content" which I had inside the post. The real reason for all the issues was never really brought up, but it had something to do with jealousy.
In all honesty the hidden gems is a fantastic idea and it was where all the steemit guilds came from as well as the resteeming idea and many more minnow support projects :) So in the end it created a ripple effect.
donkeypong was they guy that really started it all with his "Spotlight" project.
Maybe people will be nicer this time around, just don't care what others say as many many more will love you for what you are doing, and that is what really matters.
