God's word for today: "He has been abundant toward us in all wisdom and understanding"

The epistle to the Ephesians begins with God's plan of salvation, the creator predestines us to be his adopted children, and predestines us because God exists from an eternal present and in him is eternity, the possession of all time: past, present and future: "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will - to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the Ones he loves.", Ephesians 1:4-6.
And this plan of salvation is carried out in the Church, the community of Christ, through the gratuitous action of the spirit of wisdom: "He has been abundant toward us in all wisdom and understanding", Ephesians 1:8

The gifts of wisdom and understanding are gifts that are received in spiritual maturity: "When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.", Acts 8:14-17
The role of the holy spirit is not only as a guide or inner teacher but also to make us similar to God in essence, that is, to print wisdom in the heart: "When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of his glory.", Ephesians 1:14.
And Paul reminds us of something very important, to receive the spiritual gifts you have to desire to live them first: "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.", Ephesians 1:17.
