For those coming on sanctioned flights, visas would be conceded beginning October 15.
In a move pointed toward boosting the economy through the travel industry, the public authority has chosen to lift the Covid boundary for worldwide voyagers by continuing the award of traveler visas.
The Ministry of Affairs will begin conceding new traveler visas to outsiders coming to India from November 15. For those coming on contracted flights, visas would be allowed beginning October 15.
The move comes eighteen months after award of traveler visas was suspended in the wake of Covid pandemic.
The service said in an explanation that the choice was taken after counsels with partners like the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Tourism and state governments.
"MHA had been getting portrayals from a few State Governments just as different partners in the travel industry area to begin Tourist Visas additionally, to permit unfamiliar sightseers to come to India. After thoughts we have chosen to ease travel limitations," a senior Home Ministry official said.
