Universal Basic Income. Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang. Technological Unemployment.

I was discussing presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and his proposal for Universal Basic Income against somebody who was scared of "socialism" destroying the economy. This is part of that conversation:

I love Amazon. Still, there's technological unemployment happening. In a free market--in most cases--the most efficient way to increase productivity is to automate it, and get rid of the human.

It's very cool. An example of future automation, and more technological unemployment.
How do you solve this coming mass unemployment problem?
Also, who is going to buy Amazon's products when nobody has any money?
The United States is a large market, the tech companies are not going anywhere. China for example makes it very difficult for US tech companies to do business there, but they all still try very hard to get a piece of that market.

People can use that money in Missouri to improve their lives, their city, invest it, enjoy life more, be more charitable.
