The tale of Emperor and Queen long ago
In a land faraway from civilization and people
An Emperor moth flutters on a country side
He had the simplicity wing of ordinary colour
The night is breaking into dawn as he flies
And his compound eyes observes a flame
Flickering in the distance, he moves towards
Just to sight Queen butterfly flaring within reach
She had the chromatic orange brown wings
With black border and small white spots on
Feeding on a milkweed plant in a sassy style
Siphoning the ambrosia with sexy proboscis
The moth gawked for a long time from distance
Forgetting his nocturnal nature- it was diural then
For soon he has to go to sleep and rest for the day
But he couldn't that day because he was in awe
Ever since then, he fluttered to the country side
Every dawn to check out the beauty Queen's -
Glimpse and relish the charming lover sight
Though she saw him, she never recompensed him.
