Could the UN Migration Pact cause the Belgian Government to fall?

Let me start off by saying the Belgian governments (people always forget the -s at the end , we have FIVE governments here for 10 million people , i wonder where the money goes then) aren't new to this. People will just smile about it like oh there it goes again ... i think they got about a record streak of over four years now. Belgian history in the making.

But what would you expect from a country that has been written up on paper in the 1830s , basically a bufferzone between france and the netherlands, as a playground for the cousin of her majesty, the Queen of England?

Well yea, its normal to take care of your familly, granted, but at high level it tends to become absurd sometimes lol.

Assuming the pact means letting everyone from all across the world in for free, because i dont really feel like wading through a zound of legal text-pdf i think the conclusion is already made.

I don't go out much but the general consensus among "the people" is hard to miss. VERY hard to miss, heh. But a referendum would be democratic AND is NOT binding (here at least, last time they did one the results werent in accordance with their stance so they classified it ... vertically , as they say, showing what it's all worth.

I wonder why people have no faith in politics ?

The referendum would be very clear, im quite sure of that. So where does that leave our local overlords who get tax-free money by the buckets and are allowed to drive through red lights because they have immunity ?

there's elections in may : the NV-a stands to gain again, adopting the pact is basically handing over the country. If anything the NV-a should openly defend it but in the backside lobby against it lol. (well, it's politics, yes, not NGO charity)

So , revoking the absurd tax AND adopting the pact means potential point with "the people" despite the unpopularity of "yet MORE migrants, and they already get everything for free without asking, YOU should just try ..."

as i assume the main goal of a politician is not to help but to stay in position (just like i assume humans don't have the innate will to BE good, but they have the innate will to LOOK GOOD, primitive brain chemistry where the middle of the group protects you more then being at the fringe, pure core survival instinct translated to modern iThing society)

The choices seem simple :

if they want to stay in they will need to reject it , tout court

if they want to adopt it they need some serious candy and the only thing i can think of is the monty-python esque absurd tax (you're already not allowed to use your own solar energy without putting it on the net first, means pay fees, pay "transport" pay usage and tax for usage) on top of that they upped to VAT to the level of "luxury goods"

someone must have thought that would save the state, problem is , consumerwise it leaves people WITH A LOT LESS MONEY TO SPEND ... protectorates in the clouds, always the same, no empathy with down below.

And going back on free money won't happen so politically the only sound decision is to reject it BECAUSE

if the N.V.A. could convince "the people" that they will BOTH

• reject the pact and
• lower the tax on electricity

well then ... then we got another huge shift to the right and YAY ! closer to separatism (which would be disastrous, there's a grave misconception on how there's more money in flanders than in the south-side, meanwhile companies like T-palm, manager of the year and all that are building houses ALL OVER FLANDERS, but are definitely south-side, south-side government has FN-Herstal , its the major shareholder last time i checked ... YES THATS right, half of the belgian government is arms dealers)

so while there might be more working class on the north side

it certainly doesnt mean there's less MONEY on the south-side
