Yuki (10), despite getting home at 2am [after the cinema and dinner with our friends!] is out climbing this morning with friends down at Stone and afterward, she'll be doing some work experience with them. They own and manage a care home for people with autism, Down's syndrome and other major disabilities and she'll be helping with a birthday buffet and meeting all the residents for the first time. It'll be right up her street. She's a people person and a charmer and it will be a good experience for her. I'm guessing it will light up her heart and I'm hoping she'll have more opportunities to interact and help there.
Meanwhile, having had a reminder email that I'm behind with my investing course [! I'm beta testing for Debbie Sassen and I really have to keep my end of the bargain!], I've completed a module.
Now I'm waiting for Jon and Mia [17] to get ready for a walk. Thinking of The Roaches. It's our usual haunt. Hopefully, it won't be too cold and hopefully, I won't balk at the point that we turn up into the hills!

Here's a little gallery of some of my own pictures taken up there:
My eldest two daughters, Bex [30] in the foreground and Mia [17] recovering from the climb. :-D
That really is up in the sky :-)
The Roaches, Staffordshire UK is one of the fav rock climbing spots in the UK and I'm both excited and VERY AFRAID that Yuki will get into climbing enough to have us combining our dog walk on the Roaches with some climbing and bouldering at some point in the future! She'll have great arms and abs and leg strength for it after the jujitsu [punishing] warmups she loves, swimming and climbing practice. It's a massive turn around from last year, when she was doing no sport at all. She's discovered a great love for it. Long may it continue, because the mother part of me would love to see her fit and healthy and finding ways to be fit and healthy that also feed her heart and her joy.
Time to turn to my own fitness and fill my heart. <3
Sounds like Yuki's been very active! When I saw the title I was like Roaches?! And it turned out to be a place lol. Mia looks exhausted xD I would be too if I was in her place. I used to live high up in a city situated in a mountain. Walking to a "neighbor" beyond basically involved walking upwards and I can say it was more than a casual walk.

Yes 😄 she’s been busy. I didn’t realise how busy until I started writing a journal 😄. I was quite worried we were not doing enough. Now I feel like I need a rest! 😂
I Love mountains. I grew up where it’s very flat (by the sea) and it was great but I love to nest in the hills, like the curlew 😄
You too?

I spent over a decade up in the mountain city and now I live in a flat land lol. Opposite of your experience. The first time living down, the warm temperature was awful. Now, I don't think I'm fit for high altitude haha
