HOW TO MAKE TEACHING WRITING AMAZING: MY SON'S 1st LETTER TO THE FATHER FROST

in unschooling •  4 years ago

This New Year is special for my boy because he managed to write his 1st letter to the Father Frost!

The main thing is no pressure just following the kid's interests and desires.

My boy is 5 now, and I've started his way to the world of writing. He learned all letters long ago, but writing them was new for him. And I can't say he wanted to study it with great pleasure;) He just didn't get why he needed it.

A game form of studying at this age is the most effective, and I try to use it.
For example, this time I told him a story about letters to the Father Frost, which all kids write every year to ask New Year gifts they wanna get.

All kids like gifts;) And of course, he wanted to make it at once too! But oops...he understood he doesn't know how to do it, so we practiced writing letters some days before we start his 1st mail to the Father Frost.

He was eager to study it because then he started to understand how useful writing could be in life:)) And in general, it's amazing and charming for him to write his desires to the person from his fairytales.

Here is the result of his tryings. Our 1st letter;) A historically important event for his childhood;)

The title was written connecting dots in the shape of letters
