WHY DO EVEN TEACHERS HATE SCHOOLS?

The world has no future with the modern school system.

Children hate school more and more. They don't want to go there, they dream of summer holidays during the whole year, and they run away as fast as possible when the bell rings.

It has become a norm. Nobody thinks it's wrong. Nobody thinks kids must be interested in education, they should be eager to get new skills and knowledges. People are used to think education isn't pleasure, it's hard work, and they make their kids work HARD getting their school certificate.

But what about teachers? It's their place of earning money, and they should respect, love and protect it till the end, but NO!

Nowadays even teachers are tired from school system, and they, like small kids, run away from schools!

In the Crimea, where I live in, the situation is complicated. Many teachers, who have been working at schools for 20-30 years, leave their working places by their own wish! They can't imagine how to live without work and without kids, but they can't work in the system any more either...

One of the teachers, who has left his work at school recently, tells his impressions about the system, and why he can't be a part of it. This story shows us the real situation and the opinion of the insider.

So this teacher Yuriy Monastirev was working at school #12 in Yalta during 35 years! He taught geography. Now he had to leave. And not because he is too old. The reasons are different...

1. There are no requirements to the amount of students knowledge!

It seems strange and even shocking, parents are sure that there are definite programs where all requirements are written, but no! The rules touch only design of the written teaching plan: how many sheets it has, how many chapters, if all lines are flat, and the right font was chosen!!

The teaching programme should be written by methodists, but they don't do it, they just check what teacher write, and how they write it (again design and lines!!).

If a teacher of English doesn't like the definite part of grammar, he can miss it and doesn't include it to the programme, and nobody will notice it, because they all check only design.

Teachers are drowned in paper work! They have no time and interest to create amazing lessons, they have to do numerous paper reports all the time!

2. Textbooks are pure horror!

Textbooks are a manifestation of complete incompetence in geography.

There is no step-by-step scheme for studying the issue on the principle: from simple to complex. Absolutely random delivery of material! Even an experienced teacher is lost in this information, poor kids will understand nothing for sure! Moreover, there're dosens of rude mistakes, and nobody checked it!

In the textbook for the 8th class there is a paragraph "Exotics of Russia", which includes three completely incompatible regions - the Crimea, the Caucasus, the Far East. BUT each of these regions requires at least 4 lessons, but the authors believe that it can be learned in one lesson, for 45 minutes!

There is no single textbook for each course, there are dozens of different books - It's just business.

3. Teachers are just robots

They shouldn't think. They have no right to protest or change something. They're a part of the system, their slaves.

The teacher is now the "attendants". The teacher has always had two areas of activity: upbringing and educating. Now there is no upbringing, the school only teaches. Tries to do it. but success is poor.

Teachers are required to speak less, but listen more and correct the student's answer. But pupils need to know something to be abl to give replies! Internet is the best teacher now.

The task for the bureaucratic apparatus is one - to fill up the teacher with monstrous paperwork: programs, lesson plans, reports, reports, reports ... No time to think and to feel.

4. Salaries are just shame

70% of teachers get about 200-250 usd per month!
30% of those who are toadies and sycophant in administration get 500-600 usd,
and here we have the golden middle - 400 usd that is shown in the official statistics!

Eureka!

5. Internet kills kids

And the most awful - kids are addicted to the Internet. They have no time to have fun, to run, to communicate, they even smoke less - they all are in the smartphones during all breaks!

They can't seek for information, can't create and don't want to do it because they can make a cpuple of clicks in Goggle and get all they need.

It's a problem of parents of course, but school doesn't give a choice.
It doesn't create a new sphere of interest that can be not worse than mobile games.

The load for kids are much greater now! Children can stay at school from 8 am till 4-5 pm!
No time for rest or hobbies.

And almost all kids visit tutors!

Then what does school do for them?! Why are teachers needed?

To get funny salaries for paper work?

The educational system is dead.
Uneducated children can't give successful future to the country.

The only hope now is unschooling!
