It's funny how things turn around fast.
The judgment we had as a homeschooling family drastically decreased in the past weeks. Some people even congratulated us on our way of living. Before that, it was all
"oh you stay at home doing nothing with your kids",
All of a sudden it's
"Oh my god how do you do it? It's so hard!"
I can't help but feel a bit relieved. I'm glad to see it wasn't us that was lacking energy and feeling exhausted. It feels like we work so hard and yet nobody acknowledges that. We are doing it for the children of course, but some sort of recognition is always appreciated.
Well, at least now we feel we were doing the right thing all along. Our routine almost didn't change with the isolation, and our stress level is way lower than many of our relatives.
That's a good thing for us. And we hope you guys are hanging on in such troubling times.
