Amazing Adjustments - What Has Changed for Skycae Since Joining Steemit?

Welcome, welcome, fellow Steemians. I have been prompted to write about the adjustments and changes occuring in my life since joining Steemit by @surpassinggoogle. I wonder, have I adjusted to Steemit or has Steemit adjusted me? Hmmmm.

Indeed, many things have changed, I have grown, I have changed, and some things just went back to normal. 

I found Steemit at a point in my life where I was feeling quite directionless and vague, I had finished most of my highschool courses and went from studying every single day for a month to having nothing to do. I felt pretty directionless after that, and had too much time on my hands to think (more like dwell on bullcrap and watch stupid tv shows) and too much routine sitting on my computer. Steemit changed that for the better! In the way that I could adjust myself to doing what I already wanted and was doing, but with 100x the purpose and meaning!

I had found a website that could literally revolutionize my life. I learnt that I could blog about things that I am the most passionate about it AND make a living at the same time! 

It took me a little bit of time and effort to show the boyfriend Ryan and my community that Steemit was worth my while and would pay out for us. This was a concern only because I was relying on them all for sustenence well I was finishing highschool, and then I was doing nothing and still relying on them all. Maybe I was more concerned about it then anyone else though! 

I know for many people on here it is not a viable job, but for this winter and for me it definitely is. I only need a few hundred dollars to survive every month so Steemit has turned into a viable job for me, and thank god! I do not want to work in some corporation nor do I want to break my back shoveling snow. Being able to research and write for a living is a miracle I always dreamed of! To teach and learn is what I want to do with my life!

Of course, come warm-months, there are 100 more things for me to do. But in the winter, I like to just chill and write and rest and plan and study. Steemit enables me to live my dream. I think in this case Steemit adjusted to me and what I was already wanting to do!

Now that I finally am going to get a bit of a payout from here I can prove to my community and friends that you really can make some $$ on Steemit, and it has enabled me to give in real life to those that I care the most about! That is also something important to me that I had been missing out on, giving! I love to give, but have had little resources of my own and have been on the recieving end, so it is really refreshing to be able to give to my friends and family and to people on Steemit!

 

Not to mention, the community on here really revolutionized my spirit, and still is.

 Rather then the monotonous mind controlling Facebook scrolling, I have a community to engage and interact with, and inspiring people abound, with no limits! Here on Steemit we are supporting a real giving economy worldwide, something that should and I think will spread into the real world and everywhere else too! We are able to see on here in a very nice way that giving is often the best way to promote the wealth of yourself and of others. 

We can also see on a Steemit sized scale how self governence and community policing may work in society. We get to learn, as a community, how to deal with bullies who see the giving economy as a way to earn for themselves. I think this is a golden opportunity to teach ourselves and others how to co-exist peacefully and also to thrive and flourish together! It may be like an online trial run for the change that we all so dearly wish to see. 

It is really inspiring to say the least! I feel like one of the biggest adjustments that have occured in my life is renewed passion and most importantly, purpose. I also have determination that has been revived, and direction! Maybe it is Saturn in Capricorn speaking as well, but I think with such an awesome community on here and a growing and awesome community in my physical life, we can really get some shit done. Saturn in Capricorn itself really calls for us to get into the details and the hard work. No more dreaming about change, the change is here and it is us who are doing the hard work for change!

Rather then an adjustment to the wonderful things on Steemit, it feels like I have just found something that I was already working towards. It feels natural, not like I need adjusting so much. Its like a dream I didn't know I had came true! I found the community, the creative outlet, and I adjusted to it accordingly and as quickly as possible! 

I am still working it out though, and improving. This platform really lets me challenge myself! I am getting into writing, formatting, picture taking. My motivation is through the roof! In that I can further get into the community, and really dig deep for inspiration and especially for INNOVATION that pushes my limits of what I think I can do. 

I am glad to keep doing good work and making good content, and will continue to be inspired and motivated by the community on here, both on Steemit and in my daily life! I want to innovate, come up with problems and solve them, and share my journey with the community on here and hopefully, sooner then later, with the wider world!

As @surpassinggoogle says, Steemit has made me more human. It got me in touch with humans across the world, and that is a huge gift. It also got me in touch with the super-human inside of me! I am so thankful for this! THANK YOU STEEMIT!
