Before I start I want to say Happy New Year to everyone on this community, this probably will be my first post this year. I want to thank @surpassinggoggle for giving us this opportunity to share our adjustments since we've joined steemit. He has been a blessing to us all here in this community.

So what are my adjusments?
Before I start sharing my life after I encountered steemit, I will love to confess; Steemit has been a blessing, the vibes, the knowledge I encounter here every day, it’s seems every answers to the world problems are here, this place is an archive of knowledge. I first discovered steemit from @samstickkz posts on Facebook, so I checked it up, to be sincere, things were really strange and stressful to me, it was a new world entirely, but all what I saw was an opportunity, platform to share my abilty, and it has been worthwhile.
Before now...
It was pretty hard as a portrait cartoonist before I joined steemit, you know many people in my macrocosm don’t like paying for cartoons or any artwork, and the few that paid were paying less. One even told me once, “I thought you were using a phone app”, when I gave him my price, and that was the last time I heard from him, the struggle was real mehn.

Then…
Steemit came and changed the story, I found faith, don’t quote me wrong, I never stop drawing even the payouts was nothing to compare with the hours I spent looking at computer screen. But, I always believe something big will come, that the tides will turnaround for my good, and there will be a light at the end of the tunnel somehow.
Steemit came and gave me more reasons to do what I love doing. I have done a couple of artwork for steemians since I joined in October, and many more will be coming this year, through my project “EVERY STEEMIAN A PORTRAIT”, and the encouragement is awesome.

Now…
My ability has grown tremendously. As they always say “practice makes perfect”, drawing more with energy and vigour, and believing that you will be rewarded for your content as improved my portraits. At some point I even had to do a tutorial, and I was curated by @hendrikdegrote @curie, thanks to @ewuoso for giving me the idea. It was really tasking putting every steps down, but I pull through it.

Also…
My fear of writing has been destroyed, I had a phobia for writing long essays, I didn’t really like it since high school, maybe I was scared, or maybe not (I shared this in one of @surpassinggoggle’s post). But I find myself doing it now with so much fun and the feeling had been great, and I think it’s that believe that you will be rewarded for writing, makes me fight the fear. And I have learnt new things like markdown, and my writing skills have improved.
“One of the beautiful thing about steemit is rewarding us for our efforts, our contents, if not, it would have sound like any other social media”
I have really enjoyed this part of my steemit story. I have been able to replace my old phone. Recently, my old phone could not cope with the pressure I put on it, so it needed a replacement. With the rewards I received here, have been able to replace it.
So what really are the adjustments?
Yes!!! Everything about me have changed, I found more reasons to buy data for my phone, I feel very sane now, I don’t engage in any conversation that’s not productivity. Anytime, that I’m online if I’m not steeming, I will feel I’m losing some money…yay!!!
My friends have reduced exponentially, because now I spend most of time with my laptop, or phone, and I spent time that are valuable to me, I have become a loner ***(its for good, though) *** , a nerd; that’s what the call me now, and anytime I start talking, it’s either the Gospel I’m sharing or steemit, I just have to preach the gospel of steemit to them.
My artworks have improved tremendously, because I’m very consistent now, I have even start learning motion graphics; I did a gif for @utopian.io once, though it was rejected. Many greater works are coming from me this year, because I won’t relent my efforts.
I see a greater 2018, I will be achieving things by the spirit, I will be doing extraordinary stuffs, out of these world artworks, because I’m a supernatural being. I will bless lives with my arts; watch out for me, I’m the new kid in the blog.
I want to specially thank @surpassinggoggle, @stellabelle @slothicorn, @papa-pepper, @skyleap, @ejemai, @samstickkz, @tojukaka, @ewuoso, @amec, for making this place a beautiful place for me. God bless you all.

If you really care about Steemit, and the work done by @surpassinggoogle, the #steemgigs tag should be reserved for freelancing posts.
