Adjustments That Have Happened To My Life Since I Found Steemit: My Entry

This will be my very first post in Steemit for the new year 2018. Happy new year all Steemians. 😊😊😊

I discovered Steemit this year in the month of June while browsing random sites. I visited the site and read a bit then created my account. In the first months that I did not see my posts getting much value, I just continue posting. It is because I was just doing it part time as I had an online freelance job. Steemit was more like something that I did for the sake of doing something else before and break the boredom of an online freelancer.

But now, Steemit is something that I did as part of my daily routine. Got adjusted in making posts on a daily basis. I wrote on some sites before but Steemit gave me the freedom to write whatever I like. There is no topic to follow or number of words to meet unlike in other writing sites. Not unless of course if you are joining a writing contest here in Steemit with some requirements to meet.

Steemit made me more creative. It was years ago before I seriously draw something although I am not really an artist. But since there is this amazing freedom in Steemit, got posted some art that I made, the untalented editions. I also enjoyed the process of learning how to use water color little by little. 😊

Steemit made me use other social networking sites less. Before Steemit, I spend quite a lot of time in other sites and sometimes just browsing mindlessly just to have something else to do online. Now I could say that I spend my online time wiser through reading posts in which I could learn or gain knowledge. I learned how to curate quality posts through @curie and made me met more Steemians as well such as fellow curie curators aside from the Steemians that I have virtually met in chat channels in Discord.

Steemit made me a better writer. This is my self evaluation as I have been constantly posting for 6 months already. As it was said several times before, practice makes you better. When you are constantly doing something, it becomes a habit and improvement will come after. Sharing thoughts and ideas could also give you a better feeling, it was like having an outlet.

This 2018, may we all learn more and have continuous improvements in this platform. Keep Steeming everyone and have a blessed New Year! 😊😊😊
