Worst Christmas of my Life

I'm soo sad right now, I anticipated this Christmas soo badly, even though things haven't been all smooth at home this year for me but I believed that I was going to enjoy Christmas with my family as always.

It all started about two(2) months ago when my family moved permanently to Akwa-ibom from Lagos State, we moved into our new home which looked peaceful to the eye with neat environment and well fenced houses.

The first was peaceful as we hoped all nights would be. One morning, after a week of residing here my sister told us she heard someone slide her window at night but we didn't take her serious because all her properties were intact.

After a fortnight, the incident repeated itself again and we still didn't take her serious but this time she gave us reasons to believe her because she stopped sleeping in her room and took to sleeping in mine or mum's.

It all blew up on our faces on 24th night after we finished the decor with Christmas trees 🌲 and lights, while we were seeing a movie in sitting room.

We heard hard fists pounding on the door, on asking whom it was, the door was hit soo hard that the lock broke and about 6 armed men moved in a hurry (I've never been this shocked in my life) carrying local guns.

They searched for our new home after commanding us to lie face flat on the floor, they became restless and angry when they couldn't find any cash.

---

They started beating my mum and Dad asking for money but still got the reply that they was none at home.. They beat my mum harder and I was getting so angry and tensed up but before I could do anything about it, my sister got up angrily to intervene and try and top them from hitting my mum😓

One got furious and shot at my sisters left arm 😠..i got sooo soo angry and tried to stand up to him but they all ran away because of the loud sound of the gun fired.

My sister was rushed to the hospital early enough to prevent further blood loss. She underwent surgery and we were told that she had 69 tiny pieces of bullet in her arm

I'm also grateful to God that when the police came, they discovered the mode of entrance of the robbers and equally found some of their guns.

I pray the Armed robbers get caught and brought to Justice for what they've done to my sister and parent.

Although I woke up to Christmas in the hospital,
I'm still grateful that non of us lost our lives..

Although these has been my worst Christmas,
I pray for a better end of the year...
