'Scars to Your Beautiful' is one of those songs like Pink's 'Perfect that preaches our awesomeness the way we are, the songs speaks to me on a deep level, so I decided to use it for my first ever video contest. ☺ Thank to @surpassinggoogle for this opportunity.
I recently spoke to some school girls at an event and I had to talk about self-esteem and self-appreciation and about how it was important to appreciate and validate yourself on a daily basis.
Many people that suffer inferiority complex and low self esteem go through these because they do not fit into expectations. It could be the expectation of family, friends or society. This song tells them otherwise, it says you don't have to fit into a cage, you don't have to change to become someone else cause you're great the way you are. And I love this message.
I have always been against to many things I've noticed in my society, from patriarchy to career choices to bride price. Some times, I almost question my choice of philosophies, wondering if it's worth it or that I should consider changing but this song inspired me. It tells me that the world should change its heart instead.

Alessia Cara is the popular Moana star and ever since the movie, I've been following her songs. My best so far is 'Let it Go' and this one.
I love Music a lot so, I tend to go searching on Google whenever I hear a captivating song, many times, in movies and I download it.
Music like me lol, I've written a few songs but I've not recorded any yet, maybe I will end up visiting the studio for my own songs some day.
Trying to record this song was really tiring. I almost decided not to participate in the challenge after all the trials.
The sound quality, the lighting and the terrible network was a huge challenge but..
