DAILY INSPIRATION FOR STEEMIANS: IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE

in untalented •  7 years ago

The mountain and its streams always give water to the rivers and the ocean. The relationship is not reciprocal yet the mountain seems never to run out of water to give.

This non-symbiotic relationship is what Jesus was teaching His disciples. To help the poor, the weak, and those who are in need.

The kind of people that may never return the kindness you afford to give to them.

But just like the mountain, it will never get anything back from the ocean and rivers. It receives its rewards from heaven as the rain fall and fill its basins and lakes.

We are encouraged to give than to receive. Believe it or not, the joy and happiness are ten-fold than receiving.

Open your generous heart today to someone in need.

"In everything I have pointed out to you [by example] that, by working diligently in this manner, we ought to assist the weak, being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive."

the satisfaction of doing good is the reward of helping others, and when others see that you are kind they will be with you

Kindness begets kindness. And you are exactly right about our reward: the satisfaction of doing good. But God has more in store for kind people.
God blesses more those who give in the most sincere ways without murmur.

Great leaders also say that if you wanna succeed in life... you have to help others to succeed first. And I believe it makes a lot of sense, don't you?

Sweet post, made my night a little better.

I couldn't agree more, @edupa. Unfortunately, most people will put themselves first ahead of others and even step on some toes just to succeed. But the opposite makes more sense, since our success, in so many ways than one, depends on other people and how we treat them.

I'm happy I could make your night better even for just a bit. God bless, my friend.

yes it is better to give than to receive , i believed in that :)
