Maybe nothing comes without a price, and this is what I am paying now with my rejuvenating and regenerating bones because I am taking my "Cinacalcet" tablets. This tablet is a very strong nausea inducer, some patients vomits just by taking it and much of them had given up because they just can't take it anymore, the nasty side-effects of this drug for hyperparathyroidism.
My doctor even added another tablet for me to take everyday so it is now three instead of two each day and imagine the side-effect it brings me now. But since I have a very good hemoglobin levels which makes my body maybe resistant too its vomit-inducing effects, I am happy anyhow and satisfied with all of it.
So why did I allowed myself to take this medicine? Well for one thing it had given me a relief from my body pains. When I am lying down and I turned from my left, I usually feel my rib pain, now it is gone. Even my back pain underneath my right shoulder blade is gone too and I hope they would not come back and I now they wouldn't because my bone are healing now.
I am now feeding my bones with Calcium with vitamin D. They are need because my Calcium level will orr might go lower because I think my medicine's effects is similar to having my parathyroid nipped-off by surgery so I must be cautious and take my Calcium supplement so that it won't possibly affect my heart.
I am just eating tasty or the tastiest foods that I can have now because of my appetite is affected by my medicine. I am not nauseated or vomiting my guts out and I am very thankful about it that I can handle this medicine and will continue to do so until I see myself skip-hopping around when my bones had completely healed itself up. The steemit glitches have not helped. I am really happy to hear you're able to tolerate a med that helps but has horrible side effects. Is this the /a "cure?"

My bones are starting to heal because they are not leaching out anymore. It is because my parathyroid is being controlled by my medicine now and the effect on my body pains are excellent because they are being wiped off from my body and I really grateful about it despite that the medicine is painfully expensive itself >o< . It is amazing if a hyperparathyroid is cured, wonderful things happen. :D
I think my medicine just controls my parathyroid not cure it, so I may take this medicine lifetime but I hope the dosage will be reduced over time.

I'm sorry such an important medicine is so expensive. I can barely relate, but can say i was without health insurance for a bit and a powerful med that i need costed $144 dollars out of my own pocket for 30 day supply 😐

I wouldn't even think of attempting to buy my medicine if it wasn't for the steemit community's kind-hearted support for me @chelsea88 because it truly is expensive but I allowed it because it gives a positive result for my well-being. I am now almost pain-free.
I also wish you well and find a support because I ama just fortunate to find friends that truly cares for me in ways that they can offer.

It's always going to be tough when taking medicine that has side effect, at least you are not sick with it. Maybe the solution is to have small amounts of food frequently instead of trying to eat full meals.

I'll try to eat smaller meals maybe @c0ff33a and I can't eat full meals anyway.
I am just fortunate that the side-effects are relatively mild on me than with other patients.
