It's been awhile since I posted here! I miss the environment, the people, those blogs that I read, anything. All that is in this place are amazing. The very reason that I wasn't able to post anything is that I don't a laptop yet, and my phone had been shut down for awhile. But, as the title of my blog says, "Laban Lang Wag Kang Susuko." Which means, never give up just keep on fighting!

We've been through a lot of different circumstances. Circumstances that crashed us and broke us into pieces. The very example that I have here are those heroes we had in the past, like how they laid down their lives for us just to give rights to each and every one of us to live in peace and harmony, to have freedom of democracy, and to express oneself freely of how they feel for in the society. They were so brave that they were not afraid even in giving their own lives. That how why we called them heroes which in Greek is "ήρωες (hērōs)," literally means protector or defender. Until their legacies were still alive and still fresh to us.

Here in the Philippines, we have what we called modern heroes! Aside from our parents who will fight for us until the end, we have what we called OFW. The acronym means, Overseas Filipino Workers. They are the types of heroes who will never surrender whatever life will throw at them. They endure hardship and homesick for the sake of their respective families. They are the defender and protector that even they're far away from their families, their love can be felt. They are the risk taker of the modern era.

Sad to say nowadays, the modern heroes that we have are slowly fading. Some of them were abused by their employers, some of them died from chaotic war and terrorism, some of them were being lied by their own agencies promising good jobs but the ending is poverty, and some of them were involved in prohibited drugs that led them to death execution. They have families to feed, families that need their support and love, families that long for their presence when they come back. Sad to say, some will come back in the country inside a cold rectangular wood.

The reason why I'm writing this is to give honor and thanksgiving to all my OFW countrymen who bravely fought the fight for life, taking the risk of uncertainty and holding on to their faith that someday they will experience a good life with their families. Never give up on what you're facing right now, keep on moving forward and never surrender. The only thing that we Filipinos have, that became our trademark and made us unique is that amidst of difficulties, calamities and uncertainties, we always smile! Isang pagpupugay sa lahat ng OFWs sa buong mundo (a great honor for all the OFWs in the world! Mabuhay po kayong lahat! And for every people who are working in a different country, a salute to you. Take care and God bless all of us!
