Hi guys!

Today, I´m sharing some of my past projects that might interest you.

I missed my crafts... we are in the last phase of our stay in Andalucia after 132 days that started the last week of Sept. 2017, which means... we´ll be back to our homebase in Vienna in a week´s time. I miss my garden, although I know that the temperatures are still freezing over there.. but after a heavy storm and really freezing gusty winds that hit Andalucia since 3 days, I´ve had enough. We are having a heavy wind storm that hit our hills and every object not tied outside the house and garden were flying all over.

Mineral stones: Jasper, agate, swarovksi crystals... added with spacers

At any rate, today, I am reminiscing the past projects I ´ve left behind in Vienna before coming here in Southern Spain. When I was working as a corporate zombie, somehow, I still had enough time to make those crafts... Crafts were my outlet to remove my stress from the job. Crafting and gardening are two of my leisure activities , they´re like obsessions. Here in Andalucia, I procrastinate the projects I brought along like the quilted pillowcases.. I didn´t have the drive to do any of them. So that means the crafts materials would have to go back with me then.

"A CRAFTER IS ALWAYS A CRAFTER..."

My hands needed to work on something... when I came home from work and usually when I was done with the kitchen clean-up after dinner , I would pull out my crafting materials and sat on the sofa. You would see me sitting in one corner either doing crochet or embroidery. Even the mineral beads are one of those crafts I did. I designed necklaces, charms as well as earrings...

COMMISSION ORDERS FROM JAPAN

Indeed , I had a big commission ordered by the staff-nurses of my niece who is still working for a japanese hospital as a nurse. They saw the pair of earrings I sent which she was wearing and asked where she got them... and so, the orders poured in and I was busy crafting them at that time for I sent them 45 sets of earrings. The other 3 sets were sold to my office mates.

Mineral stone: Fresh water pearls and agate

The sets of earrings shown here, were made in a very simple way using spacers, wires, hooks, stones and crystals.. I love semi precious stones, they are so easy to work with.. It´s so amazing how a simple stone can be turned into a fabulous gem.

Since I collect mineral stones, I have put those to good use s well as earned income for a very easy task of twisting the wires. I am still inactive on my Etsy shop because we do not stay the whole year round in our homebase. But, I might revive my crafts soon...

Thank you for reading me.

Hope to see you again. CHEERS!
