INTRODUCTION.

Steemit is a social media platform/community where people that are known as steemians come together to contribute positively to each other. It's a platform where learning takes place, friendship are built, and connections are made.
In Steemit, various contributions/works are made in diverse ways such as, sciences, photography, technology, Christianity, motivations and politics, just to mention but few.
Apart from contributing positively to the community, steemians are usually paid for a job well done (though this is not the priority of steemit, to get rich quick.)
The major priority of this platform are learning and networking (building of friendship around the globe.) In the course of learning, good contents are up voted by steemians that made up the community, as a sign of appreciation of originality of works.
According to a friend of mine @iconnelly, up votes are side attractions to a well deserved written article/works. Meaning that, after one might have finished going through an article, if he/she finds the articles interesting and educative, the article will be up voted as a means of appreciating the author.

The following below are steps taken in becoming a Whale and a CryptoLord on Steemit.

There are 11 steps to be considered in becoming a Whale and a CryptoLord, but 6 steps will be discussed here, while others will be discussed in subsequent article.

Step one: Be less conscious of making money.

In most cases, the major reason of people joining Steemit is to make money. Perhaps, they might have been told by their friends, on how they can be earning on Steemit by just posting and commenting on people's blog. The truth is that, it's not as easy as they think.
I remember when I newly joined Steemit in October last year, all my mind was to make money with ease (lolz), but I was so shocked and disappointed when my first pay out wasn't even up to $1.00 and I was discouraged because my expectations weren't met.
As time goes on, I started posting and commenting on people's blog, and it took me about three weeks (if not more than) to accumulate 1SBD.
Along the line, I left Steemit for a period of one month ( the whole of November), just to understood how things work on the platform, and I finally resumed steeming activities in December.

All what I'm saying in essence is that, for you to go far on this platform in becoming a whale, money shouldn't be your drive or motive, though it will come later on, but it shouldn't be your priority for now.

Step two: Make good friends.

Like the saying goes, two good heads are better than one. I wondered how can one be on Steemit without making friends.
Here on Steemit, friendship is the key if you want to earn high. You can't do it all alone, because no man is an island of himself.
Friendship on Steemit matters alot, you can connect with good friends here, and check their blog often and they will do likewise for you.
You don't have to be a loner here on Steemit, because that won't take you anywhere, network with others and see the beauty of Steemit.

You won't believe that the friend I made on Facebook @hornblende, was the one who introduced me to this platform, but that's the truth. I haven't met with him before, not until one day we finally met in school around November ending last year, after he had already introduced me to Steemit. The importance of friendship can never be overemphasized.

Please and please, if you don't have friends here, try to have as many that you can. You can make friends on Steemit Chat, discord, telegram, Facebook, and Watsapp that are Steemit related.

Some of my friends I have here on Steemit are @bollutech @ponmile @aderonkemi @iconnelly @gracehills @honourmaus @casweeney @hilltop @gimba @stevenmosoes @folakere @bcrafts @misterufem @funshel @fadiji09 @fatherfaith @olawalium @jeline @anjiba @official-hord @aristokratos @stanleyc-md @aauthespian1 @favoursampson and others too numerous to mention.

Step three: Comment on other's blog

One of the major method used to get known on Steemit is through commenting. When you comment on other's blogs, they will like to visit your blog to know who you are, and to see your niche. If they love what they have seen on your blog, they might follow and keep an eye on you.

Commenting can even make one to earn more, if it worth it. Like for instance, you made a comment on a whale's blog, and if he/she finds the comment okay for up voting, he/she will give you an up vote and you will earn something big from it.
For example, if a whale 50% up vote worth $10, and you commented something interesting and related to the subject matter of the article on ten different whales blogs, that's to say you are going to earn $100 for just commenting. So you see the reason why you shouldn't neglect commenting. It's a no no for you, if you don't comment on other's blogs.

Step four: Be a follower of others

Source: google

According to me in one of my quotes, those who fail to follow, will also fail to lead.
When you follow others, you get to see their works on your feed each and every time they update their blogs. Seeing their works on yours feed without going through and commenting, is very bad of you as a followers, because they happen to be your leader in as much you are following them. If you know, you aren't going to visit their blog, please don't follow them.
Cultivate the habit of always going through their blogs and commenting, because that alone will make them to notice your presence as their followers, and in return they will/might bless you with an up vote of something great.

My advise to you is this: when commenting on others blog, don't comment the conventional comment such as: nice write up, good work, interesting work, and cool etc. Comment something related to the subject matter of the post, let the authors know that you went through their work and lastly, let your comment be interactive, let it be something that will create a conversation between the authors and you the follower
The reason for the advise above is that, conventional comments can be commented by anybody, even without going through the author's works. Always be different in what you do!

Step five: Write good content on your blog.

IMG_20180111_171905.JPG
Source: google

Writing of good content can never be overemphasized, because it determines how hardworking you are, and also remember that hardwork pays.
Take for instance, the content of your write up/blog isn't that good, what do you expect those visiting your blog for the first time to do, do you expect them to continue visiting, hell no! they won't visit again Steemians appreciate good works and they go for it.
Try as possible to write good content on your blog, because you don't know who your next visitor will be, perhaps it might be a whale that will visit next. Writing good content will also enable you to earn high.

When you are less busy, try to visit the blog of the likes of @ehiboss @destinysaid @surpassinggoogle @tojukaka and you will discover the secret behind writing good content. Go for good content, because it helps alot!

Step six: You must have a niche

In everything one does in life, standing out is always the best option for greatness.
Having a niche simply means, to standout from the crowd by adding creativity to your passion. For instance you are a footballer, you can simply have a niche on that, by updating steemians on your everyday to day training, and let people know you for that. Perhaps you are good at poetry, keep on doing it and certainly, people will know you for that. Though it will take time to get known, but don't worry because it will surely pay off someday.
One of the main reason why it's advisable to have a niche is that, it will be your driving force and source of motivation when Steemit seems not to be paying as much as you expect.(Although, Steemit can be very funny at times, but you will enjoy it later on if you are consistent in your niche)
There's a popular saying that says, if you have passion and love in what you are doing, you will definitely breakthrough and excel in it.
When I'm taking of niche, take your time to visit the blog of @tfame3865 (the gamer) and @tezzmax (the artist) for reference, these guys are so good in what they are doing.

Conclusively, in becoming a whale and a cryptolord, the steps listed above ought to be followed in an orderly manner wth seriousness, then you will be happy of your stay here on Steemit.
In my subsequent article, I will write on the remaining part of the steps, and I guess you don't want to miss it.

|At this juncture, I withhold my ink from flowing through the vent of my pen|

Wow...this is golden.. Everything on this post is on point. Well done sir @motivatorjoshua

Thanks alot boss

I really stopped thinking about the money lastweek all I focus on is making good content and following people and commenting on posts
About the niche I think I'm guilty, but am I really guilty please I need your advice
I study microbiology and I feel posting about microbiology will help me get good grades because it makes me read more and I also like motivating people and teaching them how to come out of their bad state and I teach people how to come out of porn masturbation and sex though I haven't posted anything about it, but can I go for the two or only one (motivation or microbiology, motivation and microbiology)

I will advise you to focus on one. Motivational won't be a bad idea

this is good stuff sir @motivatorjoshua especially when it comes to publishing good and helpful contents. Great job sir.

It's my pleasure

Your name says it all, this article will motivate every newbies even me that is not up to two weeks yet. Thank you sir.

@motivatorjoshua Thank you for the posting. I have a FB friend that has been suggesting to give it a try. I had another tell me it was good side money. I was blown away seeing how much people were making. I neglected to look at what a minnow makes.

I agree, to make it what you what, to find your niche and develop relationships is the goal. Anything you make is icing.

Wow! Interesting boss... I love this part, "anything you make is icing"
Thanks all the same boss.

This was a verry educative read

this was the killer for me. It pays at times to actually go through some post and make a nice comment. I saw a guy that made $19 just by commenting on a post.

Wow! That's massive you know

Thanks for sharing this. I'm on my way to become a whale

You are welcome boss

This is the fact, I made most of these mistakes when I joined Steemit but thanks to @buckydurddle, @kingjrn, @dimarss, @steve1122, @snekky (poeticsnake), @vitkolesnik and many others who showed me the path to follow.
No one can survive in isolation here on Steemit, the importance of getting closer to those who are ahead of you cannot be overemphasized because it's as important as the sbd itself.
Everyone needs to make friends, i'm not sure any Steemians will bite for trying to be friendly and asking for ways on how to stay strong and active on Steemit.

Thanks @motivatorjoshua for this all important post even though you didn't mention me as one of your friends😂😂😂. Thanks for sharing.

Lolz... Funny you. I'm sorry for that, don't be angry with me ooo...
Thanks for going through @favoursampson

Welldone my friend....

Thanks alot madam for going through.
One love

I love step 2: making good friends.
Having good friends on steemit exposes you, and you learn from each other. Thanks for the mention. Abuja Steemians rock😉
Welldone 'the motivator'.

You are always welcome

This is very informative, really this platform is more for learning, getting informed and networking than it is for making money. The best way to excel here is to look away from the monetary aspect and focus on learning, teaching, informing & getting informed, making friends and having fun... Seriously that way you would be surprised at the joy you would find any time your online here. The money aspect would fall on you hugely when you least expected it. Great post @motivatorjoshua, Good bless your heart

Nice post, the part about making good friends is really true. I can remember when i just newly arrived at steemit, i was so confused that i nearly left. But after i met a friend on the steemit chat forum who encouraged me and even help me out with upvotes i decided to stay and work harder. But yet am having serious issues on the Niche part, still trying my best on that. Nevertheless thanks for sharing.

You are always welcome boss.
Thanks for taking your time to go through
