Travelling is waste of time and money

A few words ive heard whenever i`m asking someone to join my escapades. Am i really wasting my money? Does my precious time consumed in such a useless matter?

In my opinion? Absolutely not.

On my past trip my pocket money ranges from 5,000 php to 10,000 php (Small amount compare to rich men/womens who travels around the world) Wish i could do that, but for an average people we need to work hard for it. Other people said i am too young to expense this amount of money just for an adventure. I was like, OMG this time my age matters? By the way i am 20yrs old. Do i really exceeded to the practical side? All of my escapes are only through land transportation, what more if through air fare or overseas? It is more expensive! from the fare itself, add the accomodation, food and souviners as well. By the way, my goal for this year is to make a foot steps on white sands of Boracay in Malay, Aklan. I made a research and found a super tipid tip. A flight no more. Haha! Sino sama? Tara!

How can i meet the world without digging a big hole inside my jeans` pocket?

Going to the beach or mountains is definitely worth it though. The thing is you don't have to spend a lot to find a decent place to breathe with.

This is my midnight thoughts since we (me and my boyfriend) is planning to visit Alaminos, Pangasinan. - Hundred Islands to be exact, How much do i have to place inside my pocket for this adventure? 3 thousand ($60)? 5 thousand ($100)? How many places in Pangasinan can i visit in this amount? I remember my Baguio trip for only 4,000php ($80), i managed to save my money so i can go back home. Haha! lol. Look i survive! Hahaha

Bus fare (Victory liner) Manila-Baguio - 450php ($9) Baguio-MNL - 450php ($9)
Taxi fare from terminal to Hotel - 150php ($3) -> Sagot ni jowa Haha!
Hotel accomodation for 1 night (Hotel Veniz) - 3000 ($60) my contribution is only 1000php ($20)
Food - 1000 ($20)
Souvinier - 1000 ($20)

And tadaaaaa! Ginising ako ng maaga kaya ganyan mukha ko. Lol.

Going back to the topic,Some people don't like travelling for whatever reason. And as someone who doesn't feel that way, I can't really understand why? but at the end of the day that's their preference and there's nothing wrong with that. My point is, You can travel without big expenses if thats the issue. You just need to learn the so called "Budget trip". Nothing beats seeing 'the real thing' ika nga. If it's not worth it to you, then don't do it.

Seeing the world is an excellent experience. Definitely not a waste of money if you do it right and it's something you're in to. I understand that different people have different priorities. It all depends on your goals.

Out of curiosity, I visit a website wherein discussing the reasons why travelling is a waste of time and money. I gather some information and try to match my own opinion.

1. TRAVEL IS EXPENSIVE - On my point of view, Yeah it really is. But if you control buying unimportant stuffs along the expedition youll definitely save a lot. Also upon planning, I do some alternative route and go with the smaller amount. But dont forget to consider the TIME. If you`re not committed with anything you have nothing to consider. Just go and go and go! Haha how lucky you are.

2. TRAVELLING DAMAGES YOUR CAREER - On my point of view, WHY? If you`re responsible enough with your commitments such as studies, work or house responsibilities you basically know your limit. Me? I am now working as System data encoder and manage to travel without lot of absences on my record. My day off is sunday, so i start to explore on saturday night and go back home on sunday night and hello office on monday.

3. TRAVEL DESTROYS THE ENVIRONMENT - On my point of view, not all the travellers. Maybe others but usually we are environmental friendly. Believe me.

4. TRAVEL ACTUALLY DOESN`T TEACH YOU ANYTHING - On my point of view, nah! Me? on every travel? I discover new things. New language, new tradition, new food, new environment and more! It even taught me the "Wag mahihiyang magtanong" Haha, im not into asking strangers on what and where but i am now confident to ask anyone everywhere i am.

5. THERE IS NO NEED TO TRAVEL ANYMORE - On my point of view. As i said earlier, Nothing beats seeing the "REAL THING".

6. TRAVEL IS DANGEROUS - On my point of view, Well it is the same with my moms opinion. But for me? if you cant overcome the fright inside you, you can`t able to win the prize. I experienced to fight against the storm and thankfully, we came home safe. On the other hand, prayers and belief can do anything. He, the almighty god is always with you.

7. TRAVEL IS UNCOMFORTABLE - On my point of view, if you dont feel comfortable on doing it then dont. There`s nothing wrong with it. The decision is still based on you.

8. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE EATING ABROAD - On my point of view. If you`re a picky eater it really matters, but for me? Nah! I can eat anything! Hahahaha! lol. Different kinds of food from different countries can be eaten inside the country so you can practice it before going abroad.

9. THEY DONT SPEAK ENGLISH OVERTHERE - Well i didnt experience it yet, but if it`s the problem. Then you should study about their languange. Always bring the dictionary with you.

10. ITS JUST TOO MUCH TO HASSLE - On my point of view, If there`s no plan well yeah it is. Before i go somewhere i already made my research on where to stay, where and what to eat etc. Hassle no more, all you have to do is to strike a pose and selfie! :)

Clearly, it's worth it for many people who love to travel. I love to travel, new experiences are some of the best moments in life.
