The picture for today of fermented beans. It’s a Japanese food called natto. I’m pretty open minded and will try stuff. Actually I stumbled upon natto in my search to have better thyroid health. Not recommending anything but I feel like it helped me personally.
So what is natto? It’s fermented soybeans. In the fermented state, the body is better able to reap the benefits of soy beans, unlike in the raw state where it is both good and bad for you because it takes away minerals from your body. I did write a bit about natto’s many benefits and I will share with you guys one of these days.
Here’s what natto looks like

It taste a bit weird. I think it takes some getting used to but now I honestly don’t mind it. I eat it with rice and minced onions.
Have you ever tried any yet unusual food? What is it?

Will have to look into this, thanks for bringing up the subject of fermented foods. Very interesting stuff!

Happy to share. It’s similar to the benefits in komboucha, kefir, kimchi . All packed with nutrients and probiotics. Keeps the body healthy.

The sight isn't looking inviting at all. one could be tempted to back off by default before tasting it.

Have you ever tried any yet unusual food? What is it?

Have i ever tasted any unsual food? I doubt it. But what is unsual with one culture is the other way with another culture. The first unsual food I tasted was beans soup and the second was "boiled egg with garri" in the Western part of Nigeria.

Very true, people in different cultures eat different things. It is normal to eat buds and snakes and snails in some cultures while others frown at it. Not shy to say i have tried some bugs, snakes and snails . I particularly love fried snails. Not so used to frogs though I think I have once tasted it. I believe I once ate a snake and was only told after I ate it. Now I want to try crocodile as I heard it’s pretty tasty. Lol

Natto is a very healthy stuff!!

It truly is a Japanese secret. Very good for the health.

The Madventures guys enjoying there"natto":

They are discouraging people to eat it. It’s not that bad to me.
Ever had it before?

Me? No, but I have no problem with fermented foods.

Aside from cheese what others have you had?

Sour milk, beer, ale and sourdough bread come to mind first.

Except for sour milk, the rest of those foods are not as rich as unprocessed, fermented foods.
I do drink kefir milk once in a while. Not sure if it’s quite the same as sour milk.

I cant move close unless I get convinced pretty good about it. Does it smell wierd?

Not really. I promise it’s not that bad.

When it comes to keeping us healthy we have to eat healthy, I have to drink some tea that are very bitter but they serve to dissolve calculus in the kidneys at first it was difficult because of its bitter taste but I'm getting used to it and I think I like it.

Isn’t it amazing how you can train your tastebuds? It’s so amazing that it doesn’t take long to adapt to a different taste too.

It is for health that I adapt 😆😆😆

Actually the benefits if they are good, I find something very striking and is very well described on your part

Thank you.

Yes it seems weird friend, a sticky poo, but it must be very rich, and little by little we got used to it and we grabbed the taste, hahaha.

Sticky poo? Lol very funny

Yes, hahaha

I never imagined that it would be combined with rice to eat it, rather it looks like a caramel or something sweet. Once I tried something very unusual and it was thanks to a challenge that my friends made and they forced me to eat a hot pepper and it really was something very difficult to get out of my mouth

Hot pepper is the most unusual thing you ate? You need to be more adventurous my friend.

It looks weird as you say, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to that.

How curious! ... at first glance yuck! ... but you have to make sacrifices to have good health.

I felt the same way the first time I came across it, but I figured if others eat it , and it’s healthy for me, why not?

How unusual ... seriously I can not imagine eating that with rice, it does not look so good, but if it is necessary for health, I would definitely eat it

It’s actually pretty tasty to me.

If it seems quite unusual, it looks more like a coffee caramel, I have never heard about this dish but it does not look at all appetitive

It’s not that bad. If you eat Okra, you should be able to eat this I think.

I should try it...!

Now that's something we don't see quite often but looks very nice :D
