Plutus Weekly Report - 30th October 2018

in update •  6 years ago  (edited)

Welcome to the Plutus Weekly Report on the 30th of October

It is easy to forget that Bitcoin is primarily an economic system and not merely a technology.

At Plutus, we are fully committed to the future of money, which means lowering the barrier to using cryptocurrencies in our daily lives. We believe that you shouldn’t need advanced IT skills to use blockchain-based applications.

#CryptoAnywhere
With this philosophy in mind, we set out to improve the flow of our app even further.

This past weekend, our team got together and completed our exciting two-day Design Hackathon in London (UX session). Naturally, we listened to all of your advice that we collected during our UX survey, and delved deep into the wireframes of our app and the PlutusDEX.

We’ve made a lot of progress, and are making Plutus ready for the mass-market (which includes introducing newbies to crypto). Stay tuned for the results in the next version!

Using the power of SEPA transfers, Plutus Tap & Pay is quite possibly the fastest way to get from cryptocurrencies to a bank account balance.

Access your funds whenever you need them, with Plutus Tap & Pay.

You can now download the latest BETA version of the Plutus Tap & Pay app for Android or iOS and enjoy rapid crypto to fiat conversions at zero fees.

Development Updates

Issue: Connections blocked by ISP, firewall or router.

A few users have reported that they have been unable to use some aspects of our platform. Upon further investigation, we have determined that this is due to Websockets being blocked either by their ISP (Internet Service Provider), or a firewall on their computer/router/network.

Unfortunately, this means that resolving this (relatively rare) bug is currently out of our control. However, we are already researching alternative protocols and solutions to resolve this issue ASAP.

This week in active development:

  • Completed the London UX Session (as mentioned above).
  • Redesigning user flow, as part of the UX session.
  • Testing cards integration.
  • Planning to add an alternative to Websockets.
