South East Asia, particularly Malaysia, even with its economy facing through really hard times where more and more people are getting retrenched or offered VSS (Voluntary Separation Scheme) from their offices, those who still have the ability to be self sustainable, the people, without hesitation - continued to give.
The understanding hearts knowing that when they are could enjoy a festive reunion with family, relatives and friends; someone out there may not even have a proper bowl of rice to call it a reunion dinner.
This is one of the truly priceless moments for us when we saw the trolley were still packed with essential food and even a special surprise we found later...
We found one of the bags had a hardly worn beautiful traditional Cheong Sam that was donated to our Food Bank. The one who's holding the beautiful dress, is the grandmother of the 5-kids, who have been as one of the recipient families registered under our Food Bank for 3 years; and her oldest grand daughter who just turned 13 this year will have a chance to wear a nice dress for this year's celebration because they could not afford their own new clothes for the annual festive season for several years now.
You can see how delighted the grandmother is to know that despite of their hardship in life, God still provides what they need; and along the line, even throw in special surprises like this one, just to bring smiles to a young teenager who lost her parents years ago and still have to take care of the siblings while striving to study.
These are the days that we love it the most.
That however hardworking we have been to keep it going, God never short change us with surprises.
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of Gode and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
