Updates

I had a great meeting with Kat (Director) and Courtney (Producer) yesterday! So happy to have such amazing women associated with the film. We figured out insurance, thought of make up artists and we also lost a potential location we were hoping to shoot but quickly Courtney had another spot in mind that's a studio that would be more expensive but also cover our Set dec. Fingers crossed this new spot works out! And if not..ONWARD!

We have a female DP on board as well. WAHOOOOO! More about her later.

What I'm learning right now:

Producing a film is like spinning plates. Trying to keep them all in the air, the adrenaline of one falling off and also understanding some will fall and break and that's okay you have to focus on what you still have spinning. The biggest crunch right now is fundraising the money. I know that regular updates will give me regular up votes but sometimes there aren't new things to report and I don't want to bore everyone...

BUT in the in between of super eventful things I'll share what I'm thinking about or learning! Like how to plate spin... kidding. Producing yes... but plate spinning is for another type of circus folk.

I am really having to practice patience and persistence as a film producer because you are putting out lots of different feelers and waiting then suddenly when one things happens you can take action to figure out the rest. It's like having all of your spidey senses on at all times and not panicking when something doesn't work. This is where my improv training is really coming in handy... no mistakes, you have to keep saying Yes, And and making moves!

Steem and this Project:

With Steem being down right now my heart did a little jump! But it is what it is. I am going to be pushing hard this next little while and going to try and hold as much Steem in my wallet as possible and cash out when I have to pay the film bills. Even though I may not reach my original goal (because of time restrictions) I still want to try and push hard for the community to rally behind Barbara-Anne and make a move that is powered by Steem!!!!
