  1. Personality Test/ Interview -This is the deciding part of the candidate's selection and is of 275 marks. The interviewers are appointed by UPSC and are field specialists. They check the efficiency and personality of the candidate as he/she is to be appointed on high administrative posts. There are lot of myths about the interview that they ask weird questions but its not true. According to the candidates who have cleared CSE, they usually ask questions related to your optional subjects, related to government policies, economy, general questions about the candidates. Each candidate is interviewed for about half an hour and the panelists are very friendly.

After clearing all the stages, candidates are alloted the services like IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS(Indian Police Service), IFS(Indian Foriegn Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service) and other services in Central Government according to their ranks. Then a training of about 2 years is given before the final postings.

Overall, the UPSC Civil Services Examination checks that the candidate is aware of his/her surroundings. One does not needs to be master in all the subjects but he/she should be aware of all the fields to crack this examination. Moreover, its not easy even after joining the service. The officers can be posted to the remotest areas and have to overcome many challenges. It is a very respectful service as its on them to make everything function properly in the country.
