With this post being over two months old, I chose to send a $10 tip instead of an upvote because the upvote would not give any money at this point. What I hope to show with this post especially is for authors to think LONG TERM with posts. While I do make some posts intended to get the highest number of upvotes, the majority of the posts I do are intended to be helpful indefinitely and to be found by people searching in Google and recommending on other social media websites. Focusing just on earnings misses the majority of opportunity on Steemit and many of the authors I followed the most converted me on a post older than a week as with this one. @kelvanis also earns 10 SBD for referring me to the author on another post which also shows the power of continuing to write combined with making amazing posts. While readers may discover a new post first, the older posts often convert a first time reader into a follower.
