I would love to be looked at too, I am a minnow myself and make it an effort to post good content daily. However, I must say that I feel sad for the fact that only new submitted posts can enter in your upvotable contest. I am saying this because a person told me that he wanted to submit one of my posts for the contest except it was too late. At the time, I didn't know what he meant until I read your blog.
I may sound like a loser for asking you to consider any good post within the votable period (considering that you will find my posts good enough). However, I have several reasons to think that this little change in the criteria would be helpful to me and many other minnows. why?
Having said all of that, I hope I didnt sound like a total loser and I thank you again for this initiative.
Now that you know I exist, I hope you will visit my blog from time to time. Some of the posts need more advertising because they are meant to help minnows, and I don't have the reputation or ability to reach many people.
