Hello @jerrybanfield , I felt pretty good when you included my post on upvotable #35 on "Misconception: Slow and Steady Wins the Race " .
And I even thank @qura for the support .
Thanks for making a good support !

This time I have referred you a post on how @anadikc has made his high time taking his eye care to the extreme levels . How he has started his eye camp on a very underdeveloped area . The pictures taken are also too good . Please you can have a look at his wonderful piece of blog.

Link to the post : https://steemit.com/life/@anadikc/taking-eye-care-to-the-extreme-bulingtar-nepal-day-1-and-2-of-4-days

Hard work on the day 1 and day 2 is just a mind-boggling one ! His care towards the children's and patients can be seen through his registered patients files ! A blog to be shared among the steemit-family !

Here are some minnowy great posts for your perusal:

This guy is an amazing artists and his posts make very little:
https://steemit.com/art/@denniskonstantin/progress-of-a-painting-trinity-600

Dayleeo is a fantastic blogger who deserves more love:
https://steemit.com/mindfulness/@dayleeo/mystical-morning-thoughts-about-data-on-a-tuesday-or-fighting-back-internet-overwhelm-and-data-overload

This guy makes amazing original music and this post has 1 cent:
https://steemit.com/originalmusic/@termitemusic/you-think-to-high-heaven-ill-moot-music-for-tin-foil-cats

This is a fantastic initiative, we need more high profile users supporting the little guys <3

SUCCESS Julia! Your recommendation on @dayleeo was so good that I am making the entire post about her and @teamhumble earning you a double tip! 20

Thanks jerry I'm glad I could help you find an amazing blogger :)

Alex thank you very much for your consistent contribution in the curation of the comments which helped to make upvotable 36 maybe the best we have ever had! Tip!

thank you! ive been out of action for a few days.. some things going on at home! Ill be back curating soon ;-)

Both @denniskonstantin and @dayleeo are great entries, Dennis' art knocked me off my feet!

I wasnt able to listen to @termitemusic , but it sure looks creative!

I don't know of you've heard of madlib but it has a really similar vibe, like chill hip hop, it's really nice! And yeah the other two are both great, I want these people to have some success I really think they deserve it :)

thank you @francisca for sharing my post

My nomination: https://steemit.com/steemiteducation/@riandi/the-right-age-for-a-child-to-get-a-smartphone-2017922t124943764z

The post is brilliantly written but it got only 33 cents in reward.

Good piece of knowledge . The knowledge on technology is just too high than the milestone development !

This post talks about what one day will be an age-old question - What is the right way to raise children around technology?

More than just mere opinion, appears well researched and thought out.

THis was NEARLY the ecoTrain question of the week! .. Whether it is good to let children under 12 own a smartphone. VERY important topic and post.. i support it !!

Very nice post, gets my vote

This comment has received a 0.35 % upvote from @drotto thanks to: @banjo.

Great job and great curation, thank you

Solid entry by itself, @photo-deja-vu 's comment brings it full circle for me.

This is the mind blowing nomination for the author ! It just made a wow on my face. Such a fine piece of art.

Thank you for the mention, @christ169. Truly obliged and grateful.

useful post.. you might do well to add a LITTLE bit more info.. for example as Jerry has just highlighted, people should NOT put their private keys in the MEMO field! ;-)

Good shout! Will do just that and x refer it to Jerrys post! Thanks and voted!

Dude I hope you read all the comments @jerrybanfield.

Great to see all these curating collection. I am just starting to read all of these for sure. You're doing great work sir @jerrybanfield.

Also, @eco-alex is really working great to select the best posts. Thank you guys.

This week submission from my side as follows:

https://steemit.com/procrastination/@sharoonyasir/what-to-do-when-procrastination-kicks-in-real-bad

https://steemit.com/life/@lazaruslegion/part-1-digitization-makes-us-antisocial-six-points-we-have-to-relearn-to-be-happier

Please have a look :)

SUCCESS Salman! I am including the post by @sharoonyasir in upvotable 36 along with at tip!

Both interesting articles for musing, @sharoonyasir 's was more my style, with humous advice on how to get stuff done and beat (maybe literally?) procrastination, personified in her husband.

That second post is very good..
Whilst its great that you offer this in two languages,, i might reccomend you post it twice, one for each language.. I think it makes it much easier for everyone to read.. and you can get more rewards too! ==)

Interesting advice! I'd say I agree, presentation is cleaner one at a time, unless you're trying to learn german perhaps!

I will keep this in mind for an upcoming translated article I have on my plate.

my favorite of the two is the first post on procrastination .. original topic!

I nominate @stickchumpion and his latest Steemit musical collab post. He is a terrific writer and musician and a wonderful person to boot. His previous musical collab post spawned some of the most entertaining things you are likely to see on Steemit and this one is shaping up nicely as well. Despite this he is still pretty undervalued and unknown - a true diamond in the rough :)

Cheers - Carl

u got a big upvote from me for this one! Great to see something so creative and collaborative! Great find!

Yet another really inspirational post, Congrats to all the winners.
I'd like to participate by sharing my article on Fake food and food scams.

great post.. some REAlly important issues and lots of GREAT examples of the issues.. Fake food uGH!!!

Hey, just discovered upvotable. If it's not too much trouble, could you have a look over my educational posts? Thanks a bunch :) https://steemit.com/ai/@quantum-cyborg/let-s-build-an-autoencoder

i have no idea what most of your post means, because its so advanced! I think its probably a genius post, but way over my head.. For that reason ill better upvote this as i think some folk will find it quite interesting! i Can see the importance of AI recognition of hand writing for sure, im just glad I dont have to figure it out!

Thank you very much! And yes, to be fair, the target audience is mainly people who are either extremely passionate about AI development, or simply programmers who got some experience and want to expand it even further. True, some of my posts do require a background in programming. However, I would be more than happy to make some more Intro to AI posts where I could give more generalised explanations which would in turn be so much easier to comprehend by the general public.
Also regarding the post I linked above, it's mainly describing the technique that Google is using in order to enable the image search function of the search engine (this is one of the use cases for AutoEncoders - as described in the third "chapter").
But once again, thanks for the upvote - means a lot to me :)

How to get success with Newton's Law, An Outstanding Post by @vikbuddy :
https://steemit.com/popcontest/@vikbuddy/how-to-get-success-with-newton-s-law

This article is about self-improvement, and it motivated me! Using newton's first law, of all things, to describe the routinization of our lives, this article will show you all the ways to break out of your rut, and there are fewer than you think.

This is a funny post for those who like meme creation. Author creates a series of memes showing the emotional rollercoaster that is steem!

kerlund74 does beautiful photography! i love her feel for nature.

https://steemit.com/photography/@kerlund74/hiking-trip-september-17th

This is a worthy submission! 15 fotos from a nature walk in scandanavia, (Sörmlandsleden) with some incredible shots.

(Edit: Fixed - You have linked to your personal comment, which is an easy mistake, I too use my comments to find articles I liked!)

bother lol. ty eco i'll correct!

Perfect!

So much informative and really can be achieved by practice of auto curation.

I prefer manual curation of other people's posts.

I like to get in there and read 'em, not try to develop criteria by which I assume that I probably would like them (automation), nor curate my own posts (masterbation?)

Not sure which one you meant with auto curation.

Nice program!

Since most tasks or works are getting automated, this blog discusses which work will be hardest to automate by 2030. https://steemit.com/technology/@crypto-futurist/the-futurist-blog-automation-101-tasks-that-probably-cannot-be-mostly-automated-by-2030

This is a great thought experiment! And 2030 is not that far away. Good find.

During the art explosion contest I sponsor every week, I see amazing artwork that have no upvotes and this is a selection of posts that have no love and deserve your full attention because of their quality:

https://steemit.com/art/@yogjoshi/i-made-a-painting-insect-god-monster

https://steemit.com/artexplosion/@mamadini/art-explosion-week-9-theme-beautiful-monsters-my-entry

https://steemit.com/artexplosion/@woodywood143/beautiful-monster-my-entry-to-art-explosion-week-9

While these are all great contest submissions by talented people, I prefer longer form suggestions. In the case of art that often takes the form of a process or story, for example showing influences for the piece.

Thanks for sharing!

This article finally pushed me to follow @aftabkhan who, in this post breaks down an anti-spam argument for the spammers.

welcome to Steemit.. i can see you have figured things out pretty quickly! I hope you grow and learn to love and respect the community and ecosystem and write more great posts.. This post is good info! Good luck!

@jerrybanfield - "my brother from another mother" lol ;) I feel like, despite the fact that I have NEVER met you, we have shared a lot (well, you have impacted my journey here on steemit to a huge degree at any rate). Your stories have inspired and motivated me and I feel like mine have often resonated with you. Tonight's one caused quite a bit of anxiety... hitting that "POST" button.... but the fact that I did hit it, means I was supposed to... (i think lol)...

and I wanted to share it with you. Not necessarily for the upvotable list, but simply because you have shared so much of your journey with all of us.

To be honest - the way this post left me feeling... I wasnt sure whether I had done a good or bad thing for myself... but hey... its done!

hope you enjoy.

Keep being AWESOME!!!

I did enjoy both of these poems.

@jerrybanfield thank you SO MUCH for bringing awareness to our upcoming Colorado Steemit Meetup!!! This is my first time making it into your upvotables series and I am so grateful! ❤️

Yo! I was so happy to see you make the list. I was about to nominate but saw he already had you in the lineup!

Thanks so much of thinking of me Jakob! Will you for sure be attending on Saturday? And also, you said you had another Steemian friend in Denver who may be interested? I’m trying to get an idea of who all will be attending!
😄💯♨️

Hey yeah, happy to look out.

Yes, I'm driving down from Denver on Sat morning to be there.

Also, one of my new steemian friends @sunravelme mentioned that she would be also adjusting her weekend plans, like I have, to be in attendance.

Looking forward to it!

Wow, that is so dope, I’m so glad yall will be able to make it! I think it’s gonna be a blast 💯

See you there! 👁🔼👁

hey i dont know that i can make it but dm me the details k?

Oh my gosh! You are in CO too!

Well, if you can't make it, I can't wait to meet you at the next one (hopefully).

Hey there 😄 I will send them to you via Steemit Chat, but seeing that this is a public event, and we want as many people as possible to come, I’m going to post them here also! 🐠

The meetup is at Urban Steam, a really awesome cafe in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We say the event starts at 10AM (10:00) but people can arrive late if they so choose! This is a really chill place to hang out so we will probably be there for a while... 🐠🐠🐠🐬🐠🐬🐠

it IS a post.. but i think for me to upvote it, it needs to be a bit more substantial. Many people spend a lot of time creating their posts, and whilst a short post CAN be amazing, this one doesnt really say much that we don't already know.. hope that helps!

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

nice post this one.. only it already got a Curie upvote, and i think jerry isn't including them to give others with less exposure a chance!

It didn't have the curie upvote when I posted it here- definitely not complaining, though! And thanks!

Would you take s look at this post and see if it qualifies for upvotable #36

i THInk this was already submitted quite recently.. it is a nice post!

This is a great step towards giving back to the steemit community. Thank you so much @jerrybanfield
Here is my latest post which I would love to share
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@mickyscofield/economics-of-bitcoin-why-exactly-does-bitcoin-rise-and-fall

nice little analysis there! probably an accurate prediction! (maybe lol!)

Hey Jerry, here's @poorartist1972, he's been making really good graphics, but he hasn't received anything on his posts yet, which is sad to see..
Also, @cuteve. She is a great artist and has consistently been posting her artworks which are really great, you should have a look at them, but she gets anything between just 5 to 10 $ on all her posts. Some exposure might do her good :)
And I thank you for this opportunity :)
Do have a look at my blog too if you have time, I would be honoured :P

I'd love to see your recommendations for these authors' best posts!

I upvoted you in witness! Hopefully that's helpful? I'm going to the Steemit meet up in Colorado Springs on Saturday! Can't wait to hang out and drink some coffee with some other like-minded people. I'm going to bring cash US dollars and try and buy some Steem🤑🤑🤑🤑. Look for me and our post on Saturday morning at 10:30 Rocky Mount time.

Hi @jerrybanfield what should be the latest posts?

An absolutely stunning black and white photo entry that I loved. The atmosphere in the photo is awesome. Few photos speak. This one does.
I like to call it "The Woods" -by @photo-de-ja-vu https://steemit.com/blackandwhite/@photo-deja-vu/go-to-the-woods-to-better-your-moods

Fantastic photo!

I prefer to support longer content, more pictures usually with some words, but I see why you fell in love with this single shot.

I would like to drop a second nomination here, musical in nature as well. I just ran across @corganmusic yesterday and I am blown away by this guy. I am going to leave links to two posts from him for different reasons.

First, while you see lots of people posting original music here on Steemit, and some of them post lyrics as well, @corganmusic goes above and beyond and posts the guitar tab as well so you can learn the song and play along if you want! He calls this an "Original Song + How to" and I would copy the idea in a heartbeat if it wasn't so much dang work to work out guitar tab! Jerry I have no idea if you are a musician or have ever picked up a guitar - but let me tell you as a lifelong guitar player that it takes a lot of time to write out guitar tablature. Guitar tab allows other guitarists to see the exact placement on the fretboard for each note - it is actually more in depth than regular sheet music in that regard which only specifies the note but not which of the many ways you could play it on a guitar. Example of one of his (awesome) original songs with guitar tab:
https://steemit.com/music/@corganmusic/till-you-i-find-corgan-original-song-how-to-classic-rock-2017

I want to nominate @corganmusic for a second post as well - he has generously offered to spend time this Sunday mixing audio tracks for other Steemit users for free! He has a nice studio setup and again if you have never mixed audio you have no idea how time consuming this is! This is an incredible offer and it deserves more exposure! I hope some folks take him up on this offer! Here is the link:
https://steemit.com/music/@corganmusic/musicians-i-will-mix-your-audio-for-free

I've got Till you I find stuck in my head!

I know right? It is really a terrific song and very well produced / mixed by @corganmusic as well

Another great suggestion! Seems like you know whats up in the steemit music community!

This is a great guide for beginners that sums up a lot of the best practices for getting started, including commenting.

(Edit: fixed!)

Great content

@jerrybanfield ... Amazing posts Sir, I m trying to follow each one. I learned some thing new here and was not in main content, was in your PS. notes ... It is about PROXY, (promise, I will share ASAP in my native language) I do not knew about this PROXY feature, we do not need to look deep to figure out that zillions of votes are wasted every season. Sometimes people do not remember about go to vote or they are in vacation or they are new and do not know about this kind of votes or they are just lazy guys... I m setting up my PROXY with your account and I will ask all my friends to do the same, I am new on Steemit and I think that I started with the wrong foot, I was foccused in post to make money, beggin votes, spamming in chat .. (shhhaaame I know) , but days ago after take a break and stop to chat in general channel, really chat with others guys, speak about US and Portugal and Brazil, about boobs as asses , I figureout that STEEMIT is more then post and make money, is about friendship, about respect, family and share experiences about life... I wish you all sucess... Bruno from Portugal (Sorry my english it is a little bit limited)

This story, where you learn the value of community on steem, would make a great article!

Congratulations @jerrybanfield!

I WIsh you would do a joke version where u slip pewdiepie and Alex jones in here lol we should get some steemit jeopardy games also steemit counterstrike steemit Starcraft and let see create steemit servers for all the most popular game she right now justness as a way to attention for all steemit

An april fools version? Great idea, although I think it would have to be a little more creative than just posting Alex Jones.

I'm going to brain storm a theme for a 'joke' article, where joke doesnt mean low quality.

@jerrybanfield you are crypto scientist

Thank you Jerry! So glad you included @pennsif and @crimsonclad! Some great things being posted out and about Steemit! I guess it is time to go out and find some more!! ;-)

Money and success in life is very important...This is the story about that...

https://steemit.com/steemit/@dobartim/it-s-simple-money-attracts-money-and-the-focus-brings-results

Hello Jerry!

I'd like to point you in the direction of a post by @sarahabed: https://steemit.com/politics/@sarahabed/the-kurds-ultra-leftist-opportunists-or-real-revolutionaries

This author is a true political reporter who is providing very helpful write-ups on the situation in the Middle East, Syria especially. I use a lot of her reports as sources on my weekly podcast. Her work is gem for someone doing geopolitical weekly rundowns like me. The article I'm sharing is about the Kurds of Iraq, Syria, Iran and Turkey. It's a series she has released.

Side note, I'm new to Upvotable, do you accept authors submitting their own stuff? I would think no, but just wondering as I sometimes write something worth exposure.

I think her article is as biased as they come, conveniently leaving out facts where they don´t suit the agenda and the narrative. What about the PKK rescuing the Yazidis from the Sinjar mountains?
Right now a doctor from my home town about whom I posted my most recent article on steemit, is just behind the Rakka frontline on a humanitarian mission with the Kurdish Red Crescent, so I have eyes on the ground 😉. Do you, does she? It´s his sixth mission now in Syria, and if he says something about the situation there, I tend to rather believe him than somebody sitting far away in the States. Like in any revolution, mistakes will be made, but, compared to the other regimes in the region, Rojava is still the best emancipatory alternative draft.
There is not such a thing as the Kurds. The Barzani regime is very different from the PKK and the Syrian Kurds in Rojava have their own agenda too.
I am afraid though, that the Syrian Kurds and their Rojava experiment will be sacrificed on the altar of geopolitical reasoning, once they have done the dirty work for the US and defeated Daesh on the ground, but hey, even if this would happen, at least they have tried to follow their dreams.

First comment about this topic that included thoughts from both sides! Its a tough issue but I hope we can at least hug it out here on steem :)

Sure, let´s hug it out!

Am I looking at a bronze adolf head?

Don´t know if it´s bronze , but Adolf it is.

Good that at least someone here on Steemit knows something about this topic!

This was an incredibly interesting article, in fact the whole series linked is good.

Its gets a bit anti-kurdist at points, but that is a perspective I personally have literally NEVER heard, so well worth the read if you have any interest in understanding the middle east.

This was my thought also. There is this majority in Syria that we never hear from. I also never knew any of these things about the Kurds. It just brings them down on the pedestal my society puts them on.

She is a Assad funded propagandist.

I've never heard from that perspective before!

Her criticism always changes with change of Assad's interests. When Assad bombed Syria with chemical weapons, she was hellbent on denying that and claimed Al Qaeda was behind it. She recently started getting critical of Kurds after kurds turned against Assad.

I certainly don't mean my upvote to be support for any regime or correct interpretation.

Thank you for continuing to help unpack the different viewpoints for people like me - far away with little knowledge.

I've been critical of the Western backed side of this conflict since the being. As have a good number of journalists. None of which are Assad paid propagandist.

It's still a perspective the West does not get unless they do some research or watch RT.

American coverage of this situation is propaganda funded by a world empire (Aleppo for example). So. Critical thinking is important.

There was chlorine used in Aleppo. And how was covering stories about massive unguided bombing on a heavily crowded area propaganda? And do you support the extra judicial killings of about 200 pro rebel civilians? Did you read the recent UN report about Syria?

I've read all of them. I don't deny violence by government forces. I just also know my government was funding the "moderate rebels" that was just Al Qeada in Syria. Western media also used Twitter accounts of the Aleppo situation that were traced back to Al Nusra supporters. Western media also used the "White Helmets" propaganda to sell Americans on US involved in Syria.

Do you support the unguided bombing of US forced in Raqqa or the killings of pro-government civilians? I don't think so.

Selling Assad as the next butcher of the Middle East doesn't fly the way it used to. Since Americans know they are sold lies on a daily basis to get them to sign off on the next intervention.

Syria is s complex situation, that has had geopolitical actors involved for about a decade.

Reading the side of the story from the view of the population supportive of the Assad government is new to most Western readers.

In terms of the chemical attack, it has continued to be disputed. Seymour Hersh continues to do great research on getting to the truth of what was used. We already both admit that it wasn't Sarin as the Western media told us in about 20 minutes after the attack took place.

There is war propaganda on both sides.

This a lovely post along with the series.
