Does giving back to the community really work?

I haven't received much success earning steem. I have had one post be worth $40usd at the moment that post is only worth $30usd...

I figure since I earn very little steem I might as well give some of it away. I have no idea if people actually read my posts. There is a whole lot of random posting on steem and most people aren't interested in curating as much as they are creating content. Everyone wants their work seen first and I'm sure they would rather be at the top than to allow a smaller fish to grow. I have heard of projects like the @minnowsupportproject but I've used the hashtag and haven't had much support.

Trying to build a steem following is not as easy as it seems. I have had more success posting to twitter and Instagram but steem is where id rather be.

For every two steem dollars I earn I'm going to give away One Steem just to give back to someone random who follows me. Not a bot. image

I can be found on other social media platforms.

Search TheOccultCorner I'm probably there.

I upvoted you and followed. Hope it helps. Its good to see occult info on steemit.

hey there theoccultcorner, I'm pretty new on here, it's always nice to have an honest post like this. You seem very active on here. It does seem that some people are definitely luckier with earning steem then others for sure. I'm trying to get a feel for it myself. I hope it picks up for you,

Yea man. Thanks. I get upvotes but most of the time it seems like bots and random folk. Not many followers though. Its kinda hard to keep up with peoples posts that i really would like to follow. I follow people back just to return favor. But i wish there was a better way to get the good shit in my feed.
