Follow for follow

I know it seems to be the popular thing to do, but follow for follow doesn't really get you much more than a crowded feed.

Instead of follow for follow, take some time to read what other people have posted and comment on it. When you write a thoughtful comment, people look at your blog and if they like it they follow you.

Which brings me to step two! Introduce yourself in your blog (post some pictures, I missed that one as a newb). Tell the community a little about who you are and what brings you to Steem. What do you love? What can you spend hours talking about and never get bored?

After that, spend hours talking about what you love. Post things you're passionate about! Make it original and show some of your personality. Be careful not to copy paste other people's content though, that will just get you downvotes. https://steemit.com/steemit/@timeshiftarts/copyright-attribution-what-it-is-and-why-should-i-care

Finally, take some time to learn about Steemit, read the FAQ and the Steemit tags, check out minnowsupport and learn from the recommendations of other Steemers.

Hope this helps you become a valuable part of the community!
